Is it normal for a Yonex racquet that was produced back in 1991 NOT to have a country code carved on the cone?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Please find my searching of my rackets as follows:

TW version: (Taiwan)
Cab 16, 18, TW stamped after serial number

SP version:
Cab 8, 8dx, 9, 15, 20, 21, BX 906, AR80 stamped sp or spy after serial number

JP version:
Cab 10, 14, 16 no country code after serial number

IN version: (Indoesia)
Boron 2

MA version: (Malaysia)
Cab 20

Other BC'ers can check their rackets from the model AR-80 or ealier and advise other country does / does not have country code.

Thank you, forrestyung, for your help. My racquet in question is an Aerotus 110. I bought it in Los Angeles, California in 1991 and it doesn't have a country code carved on the cone. The cover is made in Japan, according to the label inside.

I have 5 AR rackets, AR80 and AR70 has SP after serial number, AR110 has CN after serial number. For the Boron 200, one is no country since it is JP version, and another one still in my friends' home.

For the All Grey AR110 (old version), there is no fake rackets; if you has this version, then you need not worry on it. For the White + Blue AR110 (new version), one of my friends had bought a fake one.

You can post some pictures here, I believe you will receive more than 20 messages from those fake experts if it really is a fake.

On the other hand, the Grip size, serial number and country code were stamped on cone seperately in the old version serial number, so we can find these three digits are not in straight line or with different deepness in some rackets.

I saw a Blue ISO 800 CN, it's CN mark is stamped very light. So, you can try to find is there any very weak stamped mark on your racket's cone.

forrestyung, thanks again for your help and time.

My AR110 SP is the All Grey version with orange lettering. It is a 2U-4G. I still can't locate a country code on the cone, however, 4 20091 is carved. The number 4 is slightly larger than the other numbers and there is some space between it and 20091. The hologram stick on the cone says "Genuine Yonex".

May I assume my racquet is not a fake and that it is made in Japan even though there is no country code?

If it is all grey version, than you no need to worry. My teamate and I had training in GZ every winter from 1993 to 1997, we found fake in 1995.

Other hand without the country code, everything of your AR110 are make sense. Country code may be pressed error or something else, just be careful AR110 is quite easy to break. :D

I was back to my store this afternoon and I find an old AR110SP and without country code after serial number (exactly same as your one). I remember that racket was got from offical distributor by me, so Dreamcatcher18 no need to worry about your racket.
