i agree, haha. however, sigit seems to not care, he smiles after point and match lost...which is kinda cool since he rarely shows emotion on the court.

well the commentators mentioned that regardless of the results of this match candra and sigit still advance anyways so it wouldn't matter if they lost or won... and there were instances were you could see candra and sigit laughing and smiling at each other even when they were down that BAD... (compare that to the other times Sigit would give candra that stare of "WTF U DOIN"). LOL not to doubt the abilities of Fu and Cai but i didn't think INA tried at all.

I saw the WC 2003 game of Candra Wijaya/Sigit Budiarto (INA)vsPaaske Rasmussen (Den), they made a comeback to win the second game still fighting Den took the final game in a nail biting finish.:eek: poor INA good technique but no time to fightback...u have to think 1 million times before making an error and the other team will win match your service and error:mad: change back to original system. My heart was pounding like i played there....:D

yup...i agree! i think they r saving energy for the SF..

One important aspect of this scoring system is that come-backs are just about impossible.
This is even more the case in doubles, as receivers have statistically much more chance of winning the rally.

Say team A is leading, each time team B wins a rally they need to serve for the next rally, which means that they have to play with a "handicap" if they want to make a come-back!! :eek: :(

while watching kenneth vs ng wei match AND later on sigit/candra vs cai/fu match, i can see in the background bao vs boonsak playing. It was very noisy in that court as 'Jaiyeoh' is yelled constantly plus lots of Ooo and Awhhh.

Don't be surprised that Bao lost.

From the way he plays, I believe he has reached his peak. Not his full potential, but this level of play is the highest he will ever achieve. He doesn't have the winner mentality. It's so obvious. Soft physically (tall but slow) and mentally.

A lot of times, it's the attitude and mental strength that divides the top 5 players in the world. In this aspect, Bao is just pure looser. Just look at his body language and facial expression on the court. Many times when playing against top players, he doesn't seem to think of a way to win a match, he only tries to respond to the next shot and that's it. It's like a mental block.

Based on his performance, the China coaching team will give up on him after 1 or 2 years. They have given enough opportunities for him to prove himself. Time is running out especially since Chen Jing up and coming.

pretty good analysis of bao. Yes, mental strength/intelligence and stamina are what separate the very top from the other top 10's. It seem taufik isnt wrong of saying that bao 'is just a child'. I think bao would benefit alot if he goes through some motivation training like most top american athletes do.
