I rewatched 2005 Canada's Badminton International Sports Experts... Noticed in the mixed doubles finals (and perhaps other games...) the 4 players were using the Ti-10!!

I wanna understand:crying: !!!

Whats so great about this racquet that perhaps AT-800 doesn't have!?

Charles,E,
Ti10 is a very good racket. The racket is ideal for single and double. The frame is not easily chip when clashed with partner. The ultra Modulus graphite give u a very durable life span. If u are a smasher ,then use 2U or alternatively 3U will be more forgiving. I just love this racket that I bought 2 of them.:p

There's really nothing to understand. Be happy with your AT-800. :D

Ever since I started using my Ti10 I loved it, but when I tried switching back to my mp99's I couldn't play with it at all, I couldn't do any clean shots with the racket... and lost 5 games in a row doubles 15-2, exact same score in all games.... maybe its a psychological thing... but it's affecting me...

while i am not used to the racket(mainly string) for now, i can feel the stiffness and weight/balance suits me very much!

not likely that i will be using any other racket within this 6months(so i won't waste money on other racket, lol)

i love the racket so much i almost want to sleep with it :D

Hello Everybody,

I've been using the Ti10 and MP100 for ages now.

Just want to know those who were using the said raquet and switch to AT800 OF or DF.

Was it a big change and do you realize any improvement in your games.

Getting my bonus soon...so want to treat myself some new rackets. :D

Depends; are you currently using 2U or 3U rackets? If 3U, then the 4U AT800s will be relatively comparable. If 3U AT800s, then the 2U Ti-10 and MP100 will be comparable.

Assuming comparable weights, I'd say the differences are: AT800 has a bigger sweet spot, has less torque and vibration and is lighter, faster. Power is comparable.

I would suggest you to get another couple of the Ti-10s for back up.
Ti-10s is hard to replace, and you will notice this after you switched to other rackets.

The greatness of the racket has something to do with the fact that the racket can offer tons of power to the player whether he/she is physically strong or not, as long as the string and tension is done correctly. There were numerous stories on this forum where the racket is liked by the female player, and I think extra power is a major consideration, as we all know this is not the best of rackets for defensive work.

If you look at the Japanese Ti-10 specs, you will find that the racket has Super High repulsion for shaft and frame. Where as for AT800/AT700/MP100, only the Frame is Super High repulsion, and the shaft is just High Repulsion.

I don't know about anyone else, that extra resulsiveness of the Ti-10 makes all the differnce to me. I find it amusing that using the Ti-10, I can out last someone 2 feet taller than me, who is phiscally stronger than me, and who has better technique than me in a baseline-to-baseline clearance contest. Ti-10 simply allows me to go the same distance with less energy.

Yeah but what about Nanospeed... isn't it what Nanospeed is all about? less energy more power?

CoolDoob

Nanospeed spec says: High Repulsion for shaft and frame.

I have NS8000 and MP99. Neither is a match for Ti-10's power using my technique, whether right or wrong. NS800 swings much faster. Perhaps for someone with the right technique, it would be a good racket. For me the NS 8000 is the weakest racket I own.

I acutally trade in my 3U TI 10 with a 2U one few months ago. After get used to it, it's really a Terminator. But to play with this racket, you can't not be lazy and must be phisically strong as most of you guys said before. And for the MP100, I've been using the 3U modell. But currently, the TI 10 is my first choice. Since I prefer to use drive for defence instead of lifting, I really think this racket is great and after playing for few months already, I don't find it heavy at all.

Nope..

NS8000 (and MP100/AT700 etc) is about High Energy = Max power.. :D

(as opposed to "High Energy-High Power" or "Medium Energy-Medium power" or "Low Energy-Medium Power" :) )

There is no free lunches.. No racket will "generate" power..it-s your Swing...i combination with the shaft, frame and strings that will transfer energy to the shuttle...

Generally energy transfer for a slow swing is most effective with a head-heavy, Flexible-shaft, Low-tension strings.. And for a super-fast swing energy transfer is most efficient with stiff shaft, frame and high tension strings..

Just a small extra note..

I think many people are to quick when assessing the "power" of a racket.. Forgetting that It may take several weeks even for pro players to get accustommed to a new racket and its swing properties. If you don't hit the sweetspot.. Any racket will feel "powerless"...

I've found that when players "evaluate" rackets in 9/10 cases they tend to prefer rackets with similar weight, balance and length as the one they previously used when testing.. Simply becuase they get better timing when trying out those models..

I just like this racquet becuase I really like the stiffness of this racquet. When I played with my friend's 800Def, it was VERY different! I am serious, I actually kind of found 800Def is a bit too stiff for my weak wrist. But for Ti-10, it is just PERFECT.
*I might be wrong with my statment with the 800Def*

If that's the case, don't play with the AT800-OFF. It's even stiffer. :p

Errrr...in your post, you were referring to the AT800-DEF, not OFF. I stated if you thought the 800-DEF was stiff, then don't try the 800-OFF because it's even stiffer than the DEF. :)
