here are another news from my secret news source in the Swiss Open:
report and photos by Dille Andersen.
The seeds in Mixed have so far made it through to the next round
The number 1 seed Lee Jae Jin/Lee Hyo Jung, KOR didn't have any difficulties in defeating their Danish opponents Peter Steffensen/Pernille Harder. And it was with equal ease seed 5/8 Anthony Clark/Donna Kellogg, ENG, and Robert Blair/Natalie Munt, ENG made it through to the next round as they defeated Jan-Michel Lefort/Weny Rahmawati, FRA and Mohd FahruzizuanB Tazari/Ooi Sock Ai, MAS respectively.
A surprising result occurred in the Mixed Doubles match between Andrew Bowman/Kirsteen McEwan-Mille, SCO and Roman Spitko/Carina Mette, GER, leaving the Scots on top.
In the clash between Jonas Rasmussen/Britta Andersen, DEN and Daniel Shirley/Sara Runesten-Petersen, NZL, the New Zealanders came out on top. The bronze winners from the 2005 World Championships won in three games.
Nicholas Jinadasi/Samantha Jinadasi (pictured), USA, had to bow out from the event as they lost to Jurgen Wouters/Rachelvan Cutsen, NED, in two games.
