Scotland-England clash in the Mixed Doubles........
Scotland and England were up against each other this morning when
Andrew
Bowman/Kirsteen McEwan-Miller, SCO and Kristian Roebuck/Jenny Wallwork,
ENG stood eye to eye on court.
Question was, if Scotland could produce another upset to the English as
Yuan Wemyss did Wednesday when she beat Tracey Hallam?
No one wanted to give in at any time, so naturally the match went into
three games..................
The English came out on top with the final score 11-15, 15-11, 15-9.
The English also won the match between Nathan Robertson/Gail Emms, ENG
(seeded 2 in the event) and Jurgen Wouters/Rachel van Cutsen, NED when
they in two straight games won 15-4, 15-2 (picture)

Never a quiet moment..........
Tournament Director Charles Keller (left) spends a good deal of an
event
talking! And it is certainly a good thing that he is good at it - here
he is interviewed by a journalist. Or more often he can be spotted
anywhere in the hall talking on his mobile phone (his HANDY, as they
call it in Switzerland).
