you got to use some sharp clipper to flatten the grommets and try taking it out by force, tat simple =)

In my case, if I'm lucky enough that the fit isn't too tight, I can just trim the flared end with a knife, then pull it out with a needle-nose plier.
If that's not possible, I try filing it off from the inside rather than pulling it out. Taking care not to actually file the frame, of course. Some hobby, arts and crafts or even home improvement shops carry round, very thin files.
Or, you can try a special grommet remover plier. Some people have posted links to online sources for this tool. I don't know whether there's one that's small enough for badminton because I never use one.
HTH.

A nail clipper can do the cut. Then, use a needle nose piler gentally pull it out.

Hmmmm, that sounds weird that it doesn't work. I say try again:
1) Cut the grommet with a nail clipper or wire cutter
2) Remove with needle plier
It should be pretty easy to do. :)

It really is best to bring it into the store because they have specialized tools for removing the grommets. With a degrommeter tool its a snap. Its just not worth it fooling around with little things like this in my opinion.

I would recommend to get a grommet remover, which is not expensive in the long run (it can't be broken in at least 20 years in my sense). Using pillar or other tools to "drill" is not a very good thing to the frame.
