This just in, officially from Mr. Andy Gouw of Asby Sports (www.asby.com) :

World Champions and globe-trotters Messrs. H. Bach (http://www.internationalbadminton.org/Frm_PlayerProfile.asp?ply_id=6783) & T. Gunawan (http://www.internationalbadminton.org/Frm_PlayerProfile.asp?ply_id=3181) will be coming to the Home of the Cougars at Newark Memorial High School (http://www.nmhs.nusd.k12.ca.us/) on 21 January 06 for exhibition match[es]. Tentatively between 10am and 2pm.

This is a limited opportunity to see live-action of these champion shuttlers in the Peninsula. The event is free and probably limited to 300 viewers. Come early for a good seat! Pass these words around.

anyone going? i am planning to go take some pics. does anyone know the lighting condition in that gym is like? bright? or dim?

Bright, per the Acty Secy's office. This is a newer gym (2yr).

Pardon my presumtion, shooting ISO200 slide films with following filters
80A/B
85A/B for tungsten (possibly in gym)
cross, for catching those bling-bling
FL not necessary as no fluorecent lamps in new gym, but always a good carry. ISO800 as standby.

And, yes, as a roving fotog with @least a coupla cameras slung o'er shoulder, you will get privileged access shooting to your heart's content. Don't skimp on the lens this time! :rolleyes: We recall your despair from WC05. :D

whoa. how's that for technical info!

i will be shooting digital. just borrowed a 80-200/2.8 and also will be bringing a couple of shorter primes along.

i asked Andy and he said we can roam around anywhere we want to. so look for a guy wearing BC t-shirt !
