<html>I'm looking for a good beginner's racquet. I play mostly doubles but would occasionally play singles. My style of play is basically defensive as i'm not a strong or powerful player. Price is a consideration and would not want to spend more than $50. Brands available here are mostly Yonex and Carlton. Also, please recommend the string and the tension that is good for a novice player. Thanks in advance.

<html>Any graphite racket will do. There are many to choose from especially Yonex brand. I am using cab 880 Tour SP, it's a resonably cheap (SGP $70 with string) it's U2 (91-94 gm)& G4 grip. Slightly heavy at the head. Or u can try the cab 8 (SGP $50). String, BG 65 at 22 lbs shd do fine.<br>rich<br>

I want to specifically recommend the Yonex Isometric 60 Light. Its light and it is the perfect 1 piece graphite finesse racket.
I use a Ti-10 but i'm more of an intermediate power player. I have tried the Yonex Iso 60 light but i don't really like if because it lacks power but is excellent when it comes to control
