I am!

From thursday to sunday I hope to see every point played (at least one court at a time anyway.

I will be wearing a BC t-shirt, unless someone else is wearing one, I shouldn't be difficult to spot.

I would say stop me and talk, but I am most likely to be fixated on the play for the whole tim.

anyway who else is going, and would anybody be interested in meeting up to play one night? eg. Saturday

Myself and jonofrog will be working on the Yonex stalls throughout the tournament. I'm sure you will get a chance to browse around in between games. Come along and say hi.

If you do me a deal on a pair of shoes! shame you can't watch the games-or can you?

Will you be the ones with yonex t-shirts on then?! :)

ynexfan2003, no chance, why waste time drinking when top badminton is on. Will buy you some thunder sticks instead!!

am excited about it now not much work done by me tomorrow. Skiving thursday/friday to watch it. (hope my boss doesn't visit this site!)

My hands are tied regarding the prices, and being an official tournament all products will be at full retail price. Fancy a nanospeed 9000 at £160? There will be a clearance stall though, so maybe there are a few bargains to be had :)

We might get a chance to watch a match or two, just depends on how busy the stalls are - probably not very during matches.

Just a question: how did you get that job? :D Do you work for Yonex UK or something like that?

So there is a Nanospeed 9000 that's out? Hmm, that's definitely a surpise to many of us.

I'm skipping Uni on Friday to go down in the morning.

There's always Friday and Saturday night to get drunk after the badminton ;). But last time we were down there, none of us thought much of Birmingham.

I'll be down for the weekend. I'm down with the girlfriend and meeting some other friends who have managed to make it down for the whole week. Will look out for people.

Don't think I'll be buying any official Yonex stuff this year - got a shock when I found Yonex tops for sale in Holland last month at 16 Euros - about £11 I think. Compares favourably with the usual £25+ from Central Sports.

I'll be glued to the telly on SF(Sat) and F(Sun) days, many thanks to SuperSports, Ch 22, starting at 8 pm, local time Singapore.

I'll be too cold for a bloke like me from the warmer climes to be in Birmingham now! But do enjoy yourselves folks and hope you'll be able to meet up for a BC gathering, with beers of course! :D

I meant, leaving in the morning. I guess it will take about 5hrs to get there. I'm so glad I'm not the designated driver.

Hi

I will be there, from Thu to Sun.

Happy to do things other than watching the play, i.e. to play, meet up, go for a beer, etc.

cheers

aaargh!! i can't go now.. :(

i've had to make one of the hardest decisions.. :(
i had to choose between going to watch the AE and seeing all my heroes or playing up a team in my local league to play a division 1 match and a chacne to prove that i should be a regular division 1 player next season..

how horrible is that?
needless to say i can't let the team down so i'm playing instead of watching. I suppose at least it'll all be on telly tonight and all weekend on Sky.. :D
