Wow, I took another look at them and almost every single one of the pictures would do well in a magazine. Very, very good in quality, composition. Superb work indeed.

PS - this is my 1000th post on BF.. it's taken me a while and commentating on the LD vs LCW semi final at the AE was certainly one of the most challenging things i've done online - certainly takes it out of ur fingers and neck - watchin the telly and tryin to typ and post all at the same time.
may the next 1000 come as swiftly as the last. Thanks everybody!

So why were you so negative on the english girls in the first place? ;)
I'm not a fan of Eleanor Cox though, so we don't have exactly the same taste... :p

Settings : ISO 1600, f/2.8, 1/400th. Image pushed in post.

It was so 3D, the light on-the-spot was well captured. How about the wb setting? Is the 400mm prime a Canon lens?

I shoot RAW, the white balance was set from a white or grey surface, maybe his shirt or the ground. The 400/2.8L (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=186152&is=USA&addedTroughType=search) is a Canon lens, yes :)

Sorry, I don't remember :crying: Actually, it's usually quite difficult to concentrate on the photography as well as on the game, you have to choose one or the other :D
Thanks :)

yeah, hahaha, which is why i hate bringing a camera to games.
i end up just taking pictures and missing out on all the action ... which kinda defeats the purpose.

Exactly... sometimes I take pics during the beginning of the game, and when I have enough good ones I put the camera away and just enjoy the action :)

One more question..
All your net pics were extremely clear. Where/how did you focus? What type of focusing mode did you use? One-Shot AF (ONE SHOT), AI Servo AF (AI SERVO) or Manual Focus (MF).
I used 30D, and found focusing on the net and not through the net frequently.
Sorry for so many questions. Can't stand for knowing your secret to those excellent pics. :D :p ;)

No problem ;) For shots through the net, I always use AI Servo. You're right that some cameras (like the 1D Mark II with its tiny focus points) tend to focus on it, in that case I use another AF point for focusing on player's legs :)
