New scoring system :D Wonder how many countries have already played competitve matches with the new system. Would've made sense to use it at the national championships but not all countries have done so....

Absolutely, Spain, Greece and Norway for the men and Ireland, Estonia and Austria for the women :)
Ironic though that it just happens to take place in Thessaloniki where they discovered the bird flu a couple of days ago ...

Twenty ties have already been played and most of them were over after 1h30 to 2h game.

5 matches in less 90 minutes means less than 18 minutes per match, counting warm up etc... so less than 15 minutes per match!!!

If IBF want to create a "lightning" sport which can be put in between two "more serious" TV programs, their new scoring is perfect...

But if they want to promote the game, they are getting it all wrong!!

With four hours planned per tie in the schedule, there must be more time without any games going than time with actual badminton taking place.
It must feel very sad for the spectators, specially if they paid their entry hoping they would get to see some good badminton...
