& NZ just won both the Thomas & Uber Oceania phase.
I'm just wondering why New Caledonai didn't compete. The Oceania team event is on now & New Caledonai appears to be much stronger than Samoa.

New Zealand win both Thomas & Uber Cup prelims!!!

New Zealand have won both the Men's Thomas Cup and Women's Uber Cup Oceania Prelims in Auckland last night, both NZ teams now qualify for the Thomas & Uber Cup finals in Japan in May.

In the Men's Thomas Cup New Zealand defeated Australia 4-1 and Fiji defeated Samoa 5-0.

While in the Women's Uber Cup New Zealand defeated Samoa 5-0 and Australia defeated Fiji 5-0.

Probably because New Caledonia is part of France, so they can't compete as a separate nation. :confused:
