Turn out the Korea team also didn't had confidence enough they can get past the qualification round with their average singles player and their second doubles. I would assume she's playing for the whole tournament...This article (http://www.koreabadminton.org/news/menu1/hot_news_view.asp?hnum=10776) says that while she is reluctant to get in the way of the younger players having an opportunity to play, in the end she found the call to represent her country difficult not to heed. She won both matches she played in the qualifiers: one with Hwang Yoo-mi and the other with Ha Jung-eun. Incidentally, Hwang, and the other player recently recovered from a major injury, Jun Jae-youn, went 4-0 and 3-0 respectively in their matches in the qualifying stages. |
