US Uber Cup team won against Trinidad and Tobago easily yesterday.

Semi Finals for the Panam Region go as predicted or expected :
Thomas Cup :
Canada Vs Guatemala
USA Vs Peru

Uber Cup :
Canada Vs Cuba
USA Vs Peru

From here it looks like, USA will face Canada in both Thomas & Uber Cup finals. Lets hope USA can handle Canadian teams with ease.

Prediction :

USA 4 Canada 1 Thomas Cup
USA 3 Canada 2 UBER Cup

I just noticed that Tony Gunawan playing for USA Thomas Cup team. Is he eligible to play for other country team in thomas cup? i thought only citizen?

Tony Gunawan is elligible to represent U.S.A in Thomas/Uber Cup, Sudirman Cup, Panam and World Championships ... since 2004.

He can't represent U.S.A. in the Olympics however, as he would need to be naturalized for this.

nice job from the US team. Interesting line up actually for the finals. I wonder why Bob did not play a singles or a doubles?

No he was not injured. According to i heard that his passport was not ready by the time of leaving, so he can't leave the country without passport .....

It was just too bad .....hopefully his passport will be ready by the time before leaving for Japan because USA Thomas Cup Team really needs him.
