.Hi everyone, my first thread here
Well..im at my second year in college, second time to join the schools sports
fest and second time to reach the finals.
Everytime our group has a try-out i would be the first one to join any activities, in sports mstly.
i always tryout for 100m, badminton, table tennis and volleyball. I always choose badminton first cuz
its my dream to win atleast something in badminton, cuz our school badminton tournament is the only
badminton tournament that i join.
Anyways, we have this 2wice to beat thing to get the championship in our school. last year
i lost to the blue team in the 2nd round and in the finals. The blue team is the 4th year in
our school.
This year, i changed my preparation this year compared to last year.
This year, i started a month earlier compared to a week earlier, and i noticed that i have
become more consistent in my shots. But i became more defensive this year than last.
Anyways, this year i won 10/10 sets, last year i won 12/17 sets.
here are my matches.
m first match started at 8 am.
1st Round
Gray vs Violet 15-13 15-4 ..i defeated this guy last year in the semifinals 17-16 in
the 3rd set... whhooossshh..
2nd Round
Gray vs Yellow .. 15-3 15-4...this guy is taller than me and i was kinda scared at first cuz
everyone was saying that he smashes hard. But he cant. his serve is high and just near the service line
i keep on going for too much, making the score much more than it is.
QF
Gray vs Black 15-8 15-3...this guy is weird..i was down 1-7 in the first set and
then somehow he cant find his rhythm anymore. Oh and i defeated him last year aswell...winning 15-7 15-8.
SF
Gray vs Pink 15-1 15-2. This is the most hyped up match...he has a very good backhand and...
mmm i think that he was hungry as the scoreline suggested. The official was like saying
that we would make a good match cuz he is a very good player. But i guess he wasnt prepared
during our match.
Finals
Gray vs Blue 15-9 15-6...i feel sorry for this blue guy..last last year, he was the finalist
last year i beat him in the Quarterfinals(15-9 12-15 15-13 i was up 15-9 12-9..and 12-9 again in the 3rd set).
This year he was on a roll for the first 7 points where i was down 1-6 and then i went ahead
10-6 hehehe, i dont know how i did it. in the 3rd set we were so close from 3-3 until i went ahead 8-4.
On match point- I served high in the middle he made a mistake by returning high and in the middles
and i smashed it right at his body, and while i smashed,i made a very loud grunt and of course he coundnt return it
and i just continued being silly shouting to my friend as they congratulate me...My dream came true... !! :)
Just some motivations I would like to share. Everytime i was breathing heavily i told myself, "come on John!!
this is just a small court, you're not yet tired, you are faster than that" and when i was down, i just continue playing
my same game wishin my opponent would make a mistake, and it did happen, i made them play for the point.
Thanks for readin... hehe
