Quarter Final China Master 2006
Men Singles:
We didn’t had any major surprise here.
Lin Dan VS Yeoh Kay Bin. Easy prediction. LD will win.
Peter Gade VS Chen Yu. Although Chen Yu will probably lost to Peter but he already prove his worth yesterday by beating Kuan Beng Hong.
Chen Jin VS Hashim. (Match Of The Day) They maybe will meet in Thomas Cup again later. Two hard fought sets win by CJ.
Kenneth VS Chen Hong. This match is also crucial cause they probably will meet later in Thomas Cup. Chen win in 3 sets.
Women Singles :
As always the suprising here is how the younger Chinese players adapt with this new score pretty fast. Wang Lin dispose Yao Jie in 2 sets. Jiang Yian Jiao won against PHY in 3 sets and Lu Lan won against Eriko H (Japan number two) also in 3 sets.
And again only Mia who is not Chinese or ex Chinese player in the QF of WS events.
Zhang Ning VS Wang Lin : Can Wang Lin made another surprise victory here and a chance for Uber Cup team player? Very hard but again only Chinese players can beat ZN these days. So who knows?
Wang Chen VS Xu Huai Wen. 3 sets won by Wang Chen.
Mia A VS Jiang Yian Jiao. (Match Of The Day) In order for Jiang to had a chance as Uber Cup players, she had to beat Mia. A very tough 3 sets matches. Mia had a slightly advantages.
Lu Lan VS XXF. Again another tough match, cause Lu Lan will fought very hard to win a spot in Uber Cup team.
Men Doubles
Sang/Zheng made a little surprise by winning again the Malay pair who did really well n the previous All England in 2 tough sets.
Jens E / Martin L VS Shen/He . A very good experience for the Chinese to play one of the best MD in the world right now. Jens/Martin will win in 2 sets.
Logosz/Mateusiak VS Xie/Guo Chinese pairs will win in 2 sets.
Tony/Howard VS Zheng Bo/Sang Yang (Match Of The Day) Very bad draw for the Chinese pair. But they had to play their best to prove that they are still worthy as Chinese Thomas Cup players. USA pair will win in 3 sets.
Hoon/Tan VS Cai/Fu. Cai/Fu will win and set a very interesting match in SF with Tony/Howard
Women Doubles
The surprise here is nothing surprise happen. Only 2 pairs are non Chinese pairs. I believe if the Chinese send 8 pairs instead of 6 pairs, the QF will be all Chinese affair.
Zhang JW/Yang W VS Zhang YW/Wei YL (Match of the day) The number one rank will win in 3 sets.
Chen/Chen VS Zhang D/ Panpan. Will be a closed match cause Zhao TT not playing for some reason and ZD had to air with PP. Chinese win.
Du Jing/ Yu Yang VS Saralee/Sathinee. The Chinese youngster will win.
Liao/Wang VS Gao/Huang. No brainer here. Gao/Huang will win.
Mixed Doubles
The biggest uset here was when He/Liao won against Tony/Cheng in 3 hard sets.
Zhang/Gao VS Tsai/Chien. Zhang/Gao will win in 2 sets.
Mateusiak/Kostiuczyk VS He/Liao . The Chinese will win.
Xu Chan/Yu Yang VS Jens/Mette (Match of the day)Another new mix young pair from China. They will made a ot of trouble for the Danes pair but the Danes will prevail in 2 tough sets.
Kindervater/Pitroaswki VS Xie/Zhang YW. Easy prediction. Chinese pairs will win in 2 sets.

I had to agree with Baders here. If I am not wrong, Du Jing/Yu Yang never lost to the Thais pair before. And lately the Thais didn't play as well as before.

According to sina, it was Chew/Tan. According to the sport.163 website, it was Jens/Martin who won. Until now, I still don't know, but I go for Jens/Martin because it is more likely (although the scoreline was very close).

Teenage ousts Olympic champion Zhang Ning at China Masters Badminton
"Grand slam" winner Zhang Ning of China was ousted by her teenage compatriot Wang Lin at the quarterfinals of women's singles at the 2006 China Masters Badminton Championships on Friday.
The 17-year-old Wang, unknown to most spectators and even the media, produced the biggest surprise of the tournament by now with a fabulous overturn.
"I am so happy to win. This is my first time to play against her, the elder sister of our team," said Wang, shining with joy on her sweating face.
"I have no pressure. All the pressure is on her side, and also, the new 21-scoring system which is still something new to most of us," said Zhang, referring to her secret of winning.
The 30-year-old Zhang lost her rhythm after winning the first set 21-18, being leveled by her opponent 21-17. Trailing all the way during the final set, the current world number one missed the best chance to catch up when there were two consecutive controversial lineman judgments favoring her.
"Well, the two judgments did not affect me, as it is normal in international matches," said Wang, starting her professional career only after 2000.
With two heavy smashes, Wang, who kicked out seventh seed Yao Jie from the Netherlands Thursday, marched into the semifinals 21-19, exceeding her own expectation.
"My best results internationally were in the last eight," said Wang, "I entered the quarterfinal in the first China Masters last year."
However, there is little disappointment in the veteran's face. "I didn't play the best of me today," said Zhang. "It was in her control, and I was a bit passive on the court.
"Anyway, it's good that the youngsters grow up and I can finally rest."
"I know I have to be patient, especially when I play such experienced opponents." said Wang, making the sweet overturn mainly with tough defense.
Although she was called into the national teem just in 2004, baby-faced Wang was brought up in a badminton family with both her parents coaching the provincial team of Zhejiang, east China, where former double world champion Ye Zhaoying was from.
"My father is a coach, so I play badminton when I was still a child," said Wang, "but before 2000, I was an amateur."
Toppling Zhang and being regarded as a future star of the Chinese shining women's team, the teenager has locked her sight on the her first international title.
"Champion is a target for every of Chinese players here," she said
