Hi everyone,

I was watching Badminton Grandstand* on BBC2 last week (England:Denmark, Mixed Doubles, in fact the English players were the ones in the middle of the title image). At the end, one of the TV cameras used to film the match was visible. On the side of the cam, next to the manufacturer/model name, was a big Hi-Def TV logo.

Does this mean that Badminton matches are being filmed in HD? Higher Resolution? Higher Frame rate?

Is it? It was the same "HD" logo as they have on 1080p Plasma/LCD TV screens. :S

High definition isn't for hearing. It's for the increased picture quality.

I don't know lol. Perhaps he is referring to the close caption for hearing impaired and got it confused with it. Otherwise... no clue...
