yannie 05-27-2006, 05:43 PM The hotel where most players usually stay in:
- Scandic Hotel Plaza Aarhus -
Scandic Hotel Plaza is situated in the heart of Århus, close to the main pedestrian street. The hotel is encircled by the Concert Hall, the City Hall and the beautiful City Hall park, with airport buses, the Central Station and the harbour only a few minutes' walk away. In 1997, the hotel was renovated throughout, but with a very gentle touch, and the Plaza Hotel Aarhus is now undoubtedly a first-class hotel. The central location of the hotel makes it the obvious choice for accommodation for visitors to Århus, no matter if you are here for a conference, on holiday or on business.

yannie 09-17-2006, 06:23 AM Jason! I hope you can come as well... But errr, this year I think I can probably go from thursday - sunday or from friday - sunday... So busy this uni...
Anyway, the next 4 years' Denmark Open will be held in Arena Fyn of Odense. :D
yannie 10-30-2006, 12:27 PM They won't stay at this Scandic Hotel Plaza anyway, because Denmark Open this year should originally have been held in another city. The hotel didn't know the players will come, so not enough rooms for them.
Most of the players are staying at Scandic Aarhus.

Yeah, same place as last year! I used to live in Aarhus where Denmark Open is held, but now moved to Copenhagen for uni. About 3½ hours by train from Copenhagen to Aarhus. :)

ah, i see...so this time you have somewhat of an excuse, if not vacation time, to go back home then..hehe;):D
*I agree with Dan(DinkAlot), the place looks tempting indeed(no wonder Tony G. also chose to go there)..:D:cool:
Correct me, yannie, if i'm wrong, but I believe Denmark is the most, if not THE BEST, engineered and environmentally friendly country in *the whole world*.:cool: Because they are so advanced in efficiency, technology-wise & self reliable(they don't have to buy and rely on oil because they have lots of wind turbines, solar panels etc. around their country, waterways-ALL NATURAL resources)..Lots of research going on there also(as quite a few U.S. Ivy league schools are trying to mimic their standards)...Must've been blessed with "perfect" climate & weather..;):)
**BTW, hmm, i thought Copenhagen is the capital, so shouldn't the event be held there(bigger city)??..  :)

Haha.. I have kind of an excuse.. working for badzine :o or something like that. Will miss 3 days of uni! :crying: But I'll catch up later! It's not my home anymore as my parents moved to Odense now.
Yup CPH is the capital, but Denmark Opens are always held in other cities, cuz there's already a Copenhagen Masters, remember?
