definitely malaysia vs. indonesia. old rivals mar.... the doubles would be really exciting. denmark vs. china would be nice too. especially after witnessing the China Masters. i think this yr's thomas cup would be more interesting...

There are a lot of awaited duels especially after the recent China Master.

1.) Indonesia Vs. China
Indonesia has lost to China four times since the last Thomas cup (2 in Thomas Cup and 2 in Sudirman Cup). This will be a thrilling showdown.

2.) Indonesia Vs. Malaysia
Indonesia will be itching to avenge their loss in the qualifier. These two teams have been battling for supremacy in Southeast Asia (or even World) since the beginning of Thomas Cup. It will be fun to watch as well.

3.) Taufik Hidayat Vs. Lin Dan
Lin Dan may be called Super Dan, but all PRESTIGIOUS titles are in the hand of Taufik (Olympic and World Champion). Taufik is now already a legend for bethrothing both championship in the same period (2004 and 2005) while Lin Dan is just "another" Super Dan. He has won may titles, but not one that will put his name down in history. So, Lin Dan must be eager to prove that he is the best.

4.) Candra Wijaya/Sigit Budiarto Vs. Jens Eriksen/Martin Lundgaard Hansen
Battle of the giants and veterans. Legendary pairs who are still the best in the world despite their age. Since this is rumoured to be Candra/Sigit's last Thomas Cup, it will be the final showdown for them in the team event to find out who are the best pairs.

Can't think of anything else. Peter Gade Vs. Taufik or Peter Gade Vs. Lin Dan will be nice, but I think they lack the "juice" ;).

It will be very nice if it comes true. If I'm not mistaken, Taufik has never met Lin Dan in the new scoring system, has he? That will be good to watch how Taufik deal with his dislike.
