I know many of us including myself have to buy a cheaper racket due to Money constrain. But What if Money is not a problem, what brand of racket and model would you want to buy and why? There is not limit here on what type of racket you would want to buy it can be different models. Don't forget to also say why. It can be also the racket you have always dream of buying. Feel free to Share your views. :)

Just don't say i want will buy 100 pcs of this racket. I don't think many would be interested to know how many pcs you would want to get.

I would go and knock on KDM's door to buy all the racquets he won his various titles with.

Any racquet in production, if you saved enough, you can buy at least one. It is those with sentimental value that I would focus on.

No doubt. a wooden cab 3. it's highly collectable!
more cab 20 with old logo. especially 20cn. for me, they are the best rackets!
boron 2. coz they are famous and i'd never tried one before.

I think I would stick with my MP99 even if money wasn't an issue cause that racket is just right for me

As for shuttles I would buy a unlimited supply of Ashaway Tornament Reds because they are good shuttles

Shoes it would be shb99's, good pair of shoes...

boron 2. coz they are famous and i'd never tried one before.I used to have a red cab20 back in the 80's. I didn't know how to appreciate it then and I traded it to a friend! How stupid of me:mad:

Good things are wasted on the young;) :p

I'd really like to get my hands on the cab20 that Ji Xin Peng used in Olympics 2000. Also Xia XuanZe's world championship racquet. Add to that Sun Jun's boron2's:D

I told my wife that the money I spent on badminton is much less than if I took up golf and she has stopped her persistent nagging since then......As a matter of fact, she bought me an MP100 for my last birthday. Will ask for an NS9000 for my next one in 9 months time. Lucky me.

I always tell my wife badminton rackets are really cheaper than Hi Fi equipments and it also works!!:D

If money is not a problem, I will buy many many Boron 2. It is really a very very good racket but very easy to break.:p The second one will be the Green Cab 20, it's second hand price is over US$250 in Japan, only produced few quantity, a very good collectors item.

He He, why am I not suprised? :p :D
Forestyoung motive of buying a racket is so different from many other BF members like me. He is actually "collecting" them as collectable items!!!

For myself, I would like to have the whole SOTX Woven series - it has gone from affordable (from its introduction up to Woven 10) to unbelievably expensive (look at Woven 16!!!).

Personally SOTX Woven is the next best alternative to Yonex. This series also provides enough models to suit various type of plays and preferences.

He He, there are many many good players in Hong Kong are using Cab 21, Cab 20, Cab 8, Winnex, Fleet..... When I was in U-team, "Chan Siu Kwong" beated us (the whole team) up with a TOA low end racket. Now "Chow Kin Man" also beats me up with a low end Cab 8600.:D :D So, I will not depend the racket to improve myself.

On the other hand, I was very poor when I was young, so that's why I like to collect so many old stuffs. I know there is a guy collects every Yonex rackets with 2pcs (old Yonex usually has two colours) for collection since old Cab 7!!!

hi forrest, how u doing?

got to agree on your view, a nice racquet helps but don't depend on it. if money can buy victory i'd rather not win the game.

IF money not a problem, i'd find a collectible item, may be a 1960's yoneyama wooden, if a few is still around....

how's your league going? my team's out already :o . oh well, next year may be....

I got one Yoneyama from UK last year. It was great that I got it with postage less than HK$200.

My team cannot enter the second round, Union (our competitor) is fair better than my team. Even we lost, but it gave me a very good lesson, I am now changing my playing style and preparing the league in coming year.:) How about you??

I would hire engineers to design a racqet made of woven pure nanotube carbon fiber. Then I would buy yonex and make it a yonex racquet. This racquet would be sold completely custom to the customer's specifcations. You can make it anyway you want, head light/heavy, flexible, stiff, choose your color and paint job style, length, the only static items would be the yonex logo, the name of the racquet and the fact that it would be made entirely of that material. The market would be small and prestigious. Like the ferrari enzo, you would have to write a resume of badminton experience to buy it. I don't know if i'd call it 'Yoneyama' though, :P

If money wasn't a problem, I'd like to try a head-light Yonex, probably.

Something like the Nanospeed 7000 would be quite nice to try. Or something from the Ti series which is head light, then if I like any of the said head-light racquets, It'd be nice to have one of them.
