Hi all of you guys. I am a new member here, and i have been trying to search for information on Carlton PB elite here and other sites too. However, i couldnt get any useful info. Thus, i now start a new thread eventhough i know i shouldnt do so due to the overloaded threads, sorry guys...
So, is anyone there using it or own it or know anything about this racket?? I really like this racket but know nothing about the characteristics of it... and i dont know how to use it too as i think i have not reach that level?? All i know its a stiff, head heavy, iso frame (more square than the yonex iso frame) and the maxi string tension is 28lbs. Furthermore, Its weight is 86g +-2, a really light one. And it also has the anti torsion function. I am playing at intermedia level and working hard to be better. Can anyone provide me some precious info?? Thank you in advance.

Hi
I have used that racket before. I find it is alot stiffer than a stiff yonex, each manufacture has their own idea of what is stiff.
Carlton are very good rackets indeed. I know they are good value compared to Yonex's but their range is not as broad.
If you have not got a good swing you most probaly have trouble getting power out of this racket.
The main thing I like about some Carltons is they are really stiff and have very low torque----> amazing control and accuracy.
There is another power blade.......not to sure which model, but it is a medium flex racket------>Nathan roberson of england uses it or he did for a while. Pretty sure it is red color......I did have the cataloque in my room but i can't find it and the Carlton website has been down for...........over a year:confused:
This maybe better for you. Mp28s are also a good medium flex and they are quite cheap........but still very good, I use to use them.

Oh great, longreach, haha its you who answered my question again, think you are really good. Em...yup i agree with what you said about MP28 and you told me you have 2 of them and have been playing with it in the top grade for a while. Thank you so much for that i love using MP28 too and i find it is a balance and good allround racket. I am now working so hard on my swing as i know thats my weakness, hopefully i will get better soon. coz i know the stroke is always one of the most important factors for badminton. I love watching how the pros do that, they just look so perfect. Finally, thank you so much for taking time answering my question, now i have one more motivation to work harder haha... coz i am struggling so much to climb up to B Grade at the moment. :)

Thanks mate. I am not a bad player but.........I am never satified.....I am 28 now and my hunger to become better grows.
When I was a junior I was in b grade and it took a little while to break into A grade. You will get there if you 'want' to!
To be good at most things you have to practice and/or train.
Back in the days of being a junior i use to turn up 1 hour early and find someone to hit against untill I had to play my games. After all my games were played I hung around and practiced for an hour or so.....or untill they turned the lights off.
Within 2 years I became an A grade junior, the best singles player in A grade, and Captain of my towns junior badminton squad for 4 years straight after that.......and played b grade seniors at age 16. At this point I could beat all the coaches that trained me easily at singles.......I had to go else where to get better coaching.
If you add up that extra 2 hours extra practice besides my games i played, in one year that adds up to about 100 or so extra hours practice that no other junior could be bothered with.........and I played 3 nights a week........so in two years I had 300hours more practice than any other junior at my club.
With this said............I am not a 'gifted player' I worked my guts out and devoted alot of time to become better. I done everything my coaches told me to.
I want you to do this next time you play.:)
Look around at all the players that are more skilled than you.
Practice more than them. Build your fitness more than them(skipping, running), Listen to your coach more than them. Anything these 'better players' do.............to improve their game you should do more of.
It is all the 'extra' things you do that will make you extra good.:D

Oh thank you so much for your suggestions, i will try my best to become a better player. haha...but i dont really have a coach and i started to play baddy only last year. But i do put a lot of time into this sport. i used to play 4 days a week last year. however i no longer have the time to do that as i need to work now. plus i am not even sure if it is too late to play this sport at the age of 25. But still, i would like to see how far i can go on this sport. :) i have been looking for info on technique, ways to improve and asking some advance players about my stroke, footwork and other weaknesses. As i used to play soccer so my fitness could be one of my strength. i am working hard on my footwork while trying to maintain my fitness at the same time. in order to improve my swing, i am thinking on going to swimming and so some weighting too. No sure if all these are goin to work but i will try and really appreciation your help. Thank you again.
