that MP55 shall not be fake. medium and low range, most likely will not be the target for fake producers.
my apology to Alan.
please let leehsim to verify the serial and code......:)
If having fakes is punishable by lethal injection, this one's wasted already just becoz of wrong judgement. Darn me,,,just hit and miss conclusion!!!:D....am just browsing.

Yep i agree. Ocular inspection is more dependable esp from a trained eye and familiarity of the thing being inspected. And i guess imitators arent that fast to make replicas of an item just new in the market. But if its been out for a year, well, investigate further. There are lots of authorized dealers who are mixing fake ones. Am not saying ALL.;)

That's 358 Singapore Dollars each
I hope you got at least a few freebies with the racquets.
No. Just the racket and the cloth bag with golden "Aromotec Limited" in front. Ah, and a small paper stating this is limited edition and warranty slip in Japanese. Don't know what it said as I don't know Japanese.

Thanks. However, for the price, is it a good racket in terms of paint job, weight. Also, what kind of racket did you buy?
i got an ns9000x, the weight is fine, maybe a little lighter than the real thing, doesn't feel as solid as my genuine racket when hitting.
the paint work is similar to the product but there are differences in the lettering.
it's ok but i wouldn't string it to the tension that i normally use because it could just crumble potentially if it's bad quality.
my stringer recommends a maximum of 22-23lbs

is the top of the frame/head supposed to be graphite-ish/chalky in texture too? i thought the entire frame was supposed to feel smooth-ish from the paint, but the chalky feel might indicate 1. fake-ish or 2. very old... 3UG4 feels a bit light too. oh well, thanks in advance leehsim!

Maztah asked "how to find out (the way) that the racket is fake?"
i pointed him where to find it. is this wrong?
or butch's type of say? "dude, did you read the first post and check for yourself before wasting other people's time?" "it just your own fault, buying yonex rackets before getting useful informations"
your question is answered here
www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=56767
Maztah did post the inquiry in other people's thread which is not relevant.
if you are not going to lend a help, please do not just bombard, harass, talk non-sense and etc..........
if you want to show off that you are the devil, please do so in your thread.
if you want to start your "butchering" other members kindness, you are not welcome here.
my mom, dad and teacher did teach me to read the requirement, condition, question, before answering the test paper. similar procedure for inter personal skill.

is the top of the frame/head supposed to be graphite-ish/chalky in texture too? i thought the entire frame was supposed to feel smooth-ish from the paint, but the chalky feel might indicate 1. fake-ish or 2. very old... 3UG4 feels a bit light too. oh well, thanks in advance leehsim!

thanks matt for your help to indentify my rackets.
my MP99 was fake. so how to make sure that is fake or not ? what wrong with date ? what is the correct date ?
i am not a good visual checker.:o
need more experience from grandmaster Matt for this.
i am good at admiring good photos.......:D
Matt, can elaborate more on the font?
Hard to say. Better to explain it by looking at a real Yonex racket's text. It looks awkward on the counterfeit.
thanks matt for your help to indentify my rackets.
my MP99 was fake. so how to make sure that is fake or not ? what wrong with date ? what is the correct date ?
Well it's more like both. The date appears to be valid since it's a valid date for a calendar but it's the serial which is way off. It should be around 6.X Mil.
Since I'm not mainly a serial checker looking at the picture of it is a giveaway because the text style on the datecode/serial is incorrect.

The rackets are supposedly the same, however you see rumors here and there, so go what you believe with. For SP, it is cheaper for the asian region but you're getting the same racket. However, it's not worth $210 because it was a mark up as in it's sells for less than $185 and better.
They are a Yonex Authorized Dealer for CD. However, they are not a Yonex Authorized dealer for SP.

On the other hand, the clone makers can walk into any Yonex authorised dealer shops, copy the serial no. and date code and then make fake rackets using the information.

He Offered ME A Amortec 900 Technique RM650. Original ???I only verify the legitimacy of the serial no. and cone code. All this kind of information can be easily copied. Valid serial no. and cone code does not equal to genuine racket. It is the first step towards ID of a true Yonex racket. You need to examine the physical features of the racket.
Now how could I verify whether a racket is a true Yonex one with just information like Yonex HOLOGRAPHIC STICKER, SUNRISE Holograpic Sticker model no. like Amortec 900 Technique and price RM650. It is your judgement to decide whether you want to trust the seller and worth the risk of wasting your money if it turns to be a fake.
Since you quote the price in RM, I believe you stay in Malaysia (Earth). Yonex authorise dealers or shops are every where. You can always buy from them.

Please read the link first to understand the serial numbering system (especially the cone code or date code):
http://www.badmintoncentral.com/badminton-central/content/view/78/33/
Then read Post#4158 and compare your racket serial no. and cone code with those two.
You should then understand why it is a fake.

hi, i just want to learn so please correct me if i'm wrong, the last authenticated serial number of arc saber 10 in #4158 is around 73#### already and they where made last January as per cone number while this one was made only this May and yet the serial number still starts with 72####.

Further elaboration
Serial no. on the shaft of a Yonex racket is unique to that racket and will never repeated on another. The serial no. is tagged with the respective date code on the cone of the racket.
The arc saber 10 in #4158 is around 73xxxxx for the January 2008.
There is no way the serial no. of 72xxxxx can be advanced so far ahead till May 2008. The 72xxxxx serial no. should have the respective cone code in late Oct 2007. Hence it is fake.
BTW, Arc saber 10 is launched in Jan 2008.

I think the racket is bought in 1999 or 2000 but i have no extact date.. it had all the original yonex sign ... just have no imprint system. so that's why i am curious ....
Just bring it with you when you come over and visit...
