Hallo,
I just bought a used NS9000X on ebay, from a private seller, received it 1hour ago.
Looked good, but then one thing really scared me: it's a 4U-G4!
I have here Yonex 2008/2009 and there is no 4U for NS9000.
Neither I found it elsewhere on the net.
The other strange thing (not on my AT300..) is the golden-reflecting-sticker (sorry, don't know the exact term) right on the cone SN, with "SUNRISE" (reflecting) and the code C2110808 (in black) written in.
Please, let me know if it's a fake...

i have nothing to worry about then because i dont owe such modern yonex rackets due to the fact they refuse to sell ovals in europe :-(. i might however buy a cab30 from asia,cause i am really curious how these play.

yes im also on the lookout for a aerotus 110 since it resembles the boron 2 and 200 the most (had this 1 b4 till it broke during doubles, (aerotus that is)). yonex should bring these 2 back in production, im willing to bet they sell as good as their nonospeed armytech and archangel series.

The code tells you it is fake. 67th day and the 62nd month. NS series only have 3U and 2U
I said in the previous post I was going to share any evenctual useful follow-up after I discovered I bought a fake NS9000X from a private seller on ebay.
Here are the news: the seller stopped any communication; we contacted ebay, for sure they wrote the seller to reply to them with some data, because after this the seller wrote us an email saying that he was going to sue us for accusing them in public to sell fake!! most probably they were referring to this forum itself. If so: I wrote in this forum, while the ebay buyer is actually my girlfriend, so at least she should be out of problems, I hope.
Don't know if ebay will do anything about it. at the moment seems we are going into rough problems, and this because we bought a fake racket from a private seller on ebay, 100% positive feedback... probably even himself didn't realize of the racket being fake until I told him.
I don't know if this post could be of any utility for the community, or if we can receive any advice from the community. I'm hoping for both.
PS. maybe I went out of the forum subject with this post; if so, sorry.

racket model: Yonex Armortec 700 old
shaft serial: 3747917
cone code : 270343SP
source :tobys sports
price :8,850PHP
thanks
For the cone code of 270343SP (date=27 Mar 2004), the valid shaft serial should be after 4837000.
For the shaft serial of 3747917 the valid cone code should be 27 Mar 2002 (date=270323CC).
Furthermore, Armortec 700 was released to market in Apr 2003.
IMHO, Yonex Armortec 700 old shaft serial: 3747917 cone code : 270343SP is a fake.

hello andrew
come to think of it, factoring in the logistics costs & customs (they are made in jp & tw), the prices are relatively close. thats unless i am back home in wa, and thats when i can get it. but since i am in cn and with the rampant problem for counterfeits, i guess paying the premium is worth it.
let me know your thoughts buddy.

therock112 and littlebirdie,
Have a look at the date code, I think you will know the answer for yourselves.
Date code (cone code): DDMMY?XX
DD = Day
MM = Month
Y = Year
? = Ignore this, it's like a batch number supposedly
XX = Country code.

For the cone code of 080563SP (date=08 May 2006), the valid shaft serial should be 6145460.
For the shafte serial of 6230245, the valid cone code should be in 13 Jun 2006 cone code of 130662CC.

Dear Leehsim,
I ordered a Yonex Armotec 900 P 2 days ago at my badminton teacher's office, and I've just got my new racket a few hours ago. I've checked it carefully, from the cover to the paint on the racket, as I had learnt from the internet. All things are good except one point: the code on the cone said my racket is made in 2000!!!!!!!! (as I know, the AT900P cannot be made before 2006, right?!!! )
So, please help me check if my racket is a genuine one or not... I will appreciate your help very very much. You know, in my country Vietnam, a Yonex racket like AT900 is a really luxurious thing...

Hi could you please check if my racket is legit.
7332549 191279CD Armortec 500

Also, From reading various posts, some people say that you shouldn't try to buy rackets meant for other countries (ie. TH, SP, etc.) because the warranty wont cover you because the warranty is only covered for that country the racket was meant for.
My question is, if your badminton racket breaks, this isnt covered by warranty anwaysy right? badminton rackets dont have warranties do they?
thanks

hello guys i'm new here!
i wish to have my racquet checked out..
but the thing is, aren't we providing a service for the counterfeiting companies out there in giving them a pair of legitimate codes?
or am i just being paranoid as they have better ways in getting hold of these sort of codes...but how about those smaller scale "counterfeiters"
hope i'm not being too difficult here!

Hi matt,
are you meaning to tell me if a racket cracks in the frame that it is covered under warranty. NO WAY! are u serious? I cannot find any mention of warranty on the yonex website nor anywhere on the racket packaging.

Of course it's covered under warrenty. Have you heard about "defects"?
Now if a racket got cracked due to other than defect, that's a different story and that would be determined under Yonex's discretion if it will be replaced or not.

For the cone code of 161205SP (date=16 Dec 2000), the valid shaft serial no. should be near or after 2850400.
For the shaft serial of 6197225, the valid cone code should be on or after 29 May 2006 (cone code may be 29056xCC).
Furthermore Yonex AT900P was release to market in Jan 2007.
IMHO, the Yonex AT900P shaft serial: 6197225 cone code : 161205SP is a fake.

hello guys i'm new here!
i wish to have my racquet checked out..
but the thing is, aren't we providing a service for the counterfeiting companies out there in giving them a pair of legitimate codes?
or am i just being paranoid as they have better ways in getting hold of these sort of codes...but how about those smaller scale "counterfeiters"
hope i'm not being too difficult here!
Anybody can walk into an authorised Yonex rackets shop and still copy pairs of shaft shaft serials and cone codes. I believe nobody can prevent counterfeiting companies out there to stop do any evil things.

shaft serial: 7332549
cone code : 191279CD

Also, From reading various posts, some people say that you shouldn't try to buy rackets meant for other countries (ie. TH, SP, etc.) because the warranty wont cover you because the warranty is only covered for that country the racket was meant for.
My question is, if your badminton racket breaks, this isnt covered by warranty anwaysy right? badminton rackets dont have warranties do they?
thanks
