It is true that they are unique but counterfeiters can copy that. Just because it has a valid serial/date code does not mean it is genuine. I just don't see how a genuine racket that sells for ~$150usd or maybe even more can be bought for $20.

I understand that buying a racket for 20$USD and then asking if it is authentic or not can seem a bit strange. But if a racket remains in reasonably perfect condition after many hours of gameplay, respects all the code/design imprints and looks identical to any other NS9000 racket in retailer stores, then I can assume it's authentic?

I'm not sure what you mean by that. I mean, I have heard stories of people who break their genuine Yonex racket the first day they bought it but that does not mean they bought a counterfeit though. You can get lucky and could have bought a better counterfeit but at $20, it is far from genuine.

Firstly, Leeshim doesn't check rackets purchased on Ebay, secondly, consider this; an Arc7 is a racket that retails at a price of over £100 (GB). You have bought this one for $30 (£20 GB?). Can it be genuine? Would anyone offer 80% discount on a very desirable product?

Thirdly, I can tell you that you bought a fake as the cone code is nonsensical. It should read DDMMY?DC. This means the first two digits are the day of the month the racket was made. 22 is perfectly reasonable. The second two digit set (digit 3 and 4) denotes the month the racket was made. 88 is nonsensical, there is no 88th month. The 5th digit denotes the year. The Arc7 is a very recent racket. Yours was supposedly made in 2002. As you can see, things aren't looking good. The 6th digit remains a mystery. Nobody outside of Yonex knows what it really means. Firstly, Leeshim doesn't check rackets purchased on Ebay, secondly, consider this; an Arc7 is a racket that retails at a price of over £100 (GB). You have bought this one for $30 (£20 GB?). Can it be genuine? Would anyone offer 80% discount on a very desirable product?

Thirdly, I can tell you that you bought a fake as the cone code is nonsensical. It should read DDMMY?DC. This means the first two digits are the day of the month the racket was made. 22 is perfectly reasonable. The second two digit set (digit 3 and 4) denotes the month the racket was made. 88 is nonsensical, there is no 88th month. The 5th digit denotes the year. The Arc7 is a very recent racket. Yours was supposedly made in 2002. As you can see, things aren't looking good. The 6th digit remains a mystery. Nobody outside of Yonex knows what it really means. As I said to someone else before, you should be fine with a CD coded racket. I think the same applies to US codes to. The most commonly faked racket distribution codes are SP, CH and JP. You paid a price that is to be expected for high end rackets from a site that seems OK. They aren't only selling Yonex either. All of these are good signs so I think you'll be OK.
