Is the 5th number really a zero? If so it would mean year 2000 as explained in one of the links in post #1 (http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/images/icons/icon3.gif). Since the ArcSaber was introduced in 2007 ... well you can draw the conclusion. But one can't seriously have thought otherwise (could one?).

:eek: the link still hasn't been fixed :eek: (cone code = DdMmY... format)

I have checked in the information of your Yonex Arcsaber 7 shaft Serial:6195850; Cone Code:161205SP (date=16 Dec 2000) to my information list of Yonex rackets made in Japan.

For the cone code of 161205SP (date=16 Dec 2000), the valid shaft serial should be close to 2383000.

For the shaft serial of 6195850, the valid cone code should be somthing likes 29056xCC (date=29 May 2006).

Arcsaber 7 was introduced in Sep 2007.

IMHO, your Arcsaber 7 shaft Serial:6195850; Cone Code:161205SP (date=16 Dec 2000) is a fake.

well, seeing as how you know the seller, why don't you go get your money back.

I just bought a new "old stock" MP99 since I always wanted that stick (I have an arc10 & at900t). Considering that there are a lot of MP99 fakes out there, just wanted to ask the yonex gurus if mine is genuine. My serial numbers are:

shaft: 4496275
cone: 200832SP

I heard that you can determine from the serial numbers but I don't really know how. Any help will be appreciated. In addition, I noticed that the grommets on the MP99 are different or special, the "musclepower" shaped hoop is also there.

Thanks again!

Thanks Terraglow!

Additional pics on the MP99 with the following serial numbers:

shaft: 4496275

Hope its genuine because I bought it "old stock" from a sports outlet/warehouse for about $150. In addition, I don't see a hologram that people say.

I'm under no illusions that I think the racket I have must be a fake having bought it at the price stated below (plus the fact there's no shaft Serial No), but anything you can tell me about it would be helpful. I'm thinking of donating it to the local Leisure centre where I play, but I'd hate to find out that I've given away an OEM version (e.g. the next best option to the real McCoy) just because I got it at a throw-away price. Thanks for your help

Noone answering immediately is usually a good thing ;). If you bought it at rapid repair that would be the "source" and from what I've read it should be a legit dealer so now you just have to wait for leehsim, the only one with a complete enough database/collection of digits, to check.
Several racquets with roughly the same numbers have been verified as real don't envision any problems here.

A very interesting situation. You post an enquiry about your friend's rackets without his knowledge but you said that in Post #7598 that they are your rackets. You also remember for you friend the price of Muscle Power Limited as US$68 (HK$600) and ARMORTEC 800 as US$129 (HK$1,000).

to my information list of Yonex rackets made in Japan, their respective shaft serials and cone codes are legitimate.

However you still need to inspect the other physical features of the rackets carefully and compare the specifications to ascertain their total legitimacy or authenticity yourself.

thank you very much indeed

Thank you for your help!

I have checked in the information of your Yonex Muscle Power 99 shaft Serial:4515596; Cone Code:280218SP (date=28 Feb 2001) to my information list of Yonex rackets made in Japan.

For the cone code of 280218SP (date=28 Feb 2001), the valid shaft serial should be close to 2953300.

For the shaft serial of 4515596, the valid cone code should be somthing like 30083xCC (date=30 Aug 2003).

IMHO, your Muscle Power 99 shaft Serial:4515596; Cone Code:280218SP (date=28 Feb 2001) is a fake.

Refer to Post #7584 Susanto2512 requested to check for him rackets of the almost same details as above except Suysanto2512 posted Ti-10 of 31233363 with cone 210813IP but kristian typed as 210813SP.

Now Post #7659 kristian claimed to be his racket form the same source as friend.

Both case no prices giving??

In any case for Ti-10, the following is the answer:

I have checked in the information of your Yonex Ti-10 shaft Serial:3123363; Cone Code:210813IP or SP (date=21 Aug 2001) to my information list of Yonex rackets made in Japan.

For the cone code of 210813IP or SP (date=21 Aug 2001), the valid shaft serial should be close to 3270000.

For the shaft serial of 3123363, the valid cone code should be somthing like 21051xCC (date=21 May 2001).

IMHO, your Ti-10 shaft Serial:3123363; Cone Code:210813IP or SP (date=21 Aug 2001) is a fake.

I have checked in the information of your Yonex At700 shaft Serial:6274360; Cone Code:040767KP (date=04 Jul 2006) to my information list of Yonex rackets made in Japan, its shaft serial and cone code are legitimate.

However you still need to inspect the other physical features of the racket carefully and compare the specifications to ascertain its total legitimacy or authenticity yourself.

This is the first of racket that I have come across carrying the distribution country code of KP.

Cause I got This Racket From former World Men Double Champion that he got from Pelatnas Indonesia, the Ti Mesh in 3 and 9 o clock is legit and the racket feel is like genuine old ti 10

If it is true then it will be a hot issue that Yonex ever Give a fake racket to the Pelatnas for sponsorship :)

3) Ti 3 Titanium Mesh Light shaft serial:3124739 cone code:220512DK(date=22 May 2001);
Your Ti 10 carries shaft serial of 3123363 somewhere between items 2 and 3

I provide some details of some rackets that are close to your racket carrying cone code:210813SP (date=21 Aug 2001):
a) Muscle Power 100 shaft serial:3201178 cone code:080813CH (date=08 Aug 2001);
b) Ti 3 Titanium Mesh Light shaft serial:3239207 cone code:030912DK (date=03 Sep 2001);
Your Ti 10 carries cone code:210813SP (date=21 Aug 2001) somewhere between items a and b.

I don't have answer to your point "
Cause I got This Racket From former World Men Double Champion that he got from Pelatnas Indonesia, the Ti Mesh in 3 and 9 o clock is legit and the racket feel is like genuine old ti 10

If it is true then it will be a hot issue that Yonex ever Give a fake racket to the Pelatnas for sponsorship"

My statement "IMHO, your Ti-10 shaft Serial:3123363; Cone Code:210813SP (date=21 Aug 2001) is a fake." still remains my opinion.

I have checked in the information of your Yonex Ti-10 shaft Serial:3123363; Cone Code:210813SP (date=21 Aug 2001) to my information list of Yonex rackets made in Japan.

For the cone code of 210813SP (date=21 Aug 2001), the valid shaft serial should be close to 3270000.

For the shaft serial of 3123363, the valid cone code should be somthing like 21051xCC (date=21 May 2001).

what about this leehsim?

3027773 4April 2001

mine is Serial:3123363; Cone Code:210813SP
my friend had is Serial:3027773; Cone Code:040413HK
and u said mine should built in may,so yonex made 3123363-3027773=95.590 racket
so yonex made 95.950 racket in one month?????
and it will be 3186 racket
so Yonex made 3186 racket a day ????

no no no u are wrong my friend the correct is month 8
so 95.590/5=11948 in one month
so one day is yonex made 398 racket

or Is this old ti 10 fake too? :)

I have checked in the information of your friend's Yonex Ti10 shaft Serial:3027773; Cone Code:040413HK (date=04 Apr 2001) to my information list of Yonex rackets made in Japan, its shaft serial and cone code are legitimate.

However you still need to inspect the other physical features of the racket carefully and compare the specifications to ascertain its total legitimacy or authenticity yourself.

3123363-3027773=95590; respective day is 21 May 2001 and 04 Apr 2001. The days bewtween 04 Apr 2001 and 21 May 2001 is 47 days (26 day in remaining month of Apr and 21 days for May).
This works out to be 95590 divide 47 days = 2034 rackets per day.

I have checked in the information of your Yonex
1) Muscle Power 88 shaft Serial:5953705; Cone Code:060266SP (date=06 Feb 2006);
2) Armortec 700 shaft Serial:6194301; Cone Code:290567IP (date=29 May 2006)
to my information list of Yonex rackets made in Japan, their respective shaft serials and cone codes are legitimate.

However you still need to inspect the other physical features of the rackets carefully and compare the specifications to ascertain their total legitimacy or authenticity yourself.

Your second rackets is Armortec 900 Power or Technique?
