I have checked in the information of your Yonex Nanospeed 9000 X shaft Serial:6160239; Cone Date Code:120562IP (date=12 May 2006) to my information list of Yonex rackets made in Japan, its serial no. and date code are legitimate.

However you still need to inspect the other physical features of the racket carefully and compare the specifications to ascertain its total legitimacy or authenticity yourself.

Isn't it GBP 45.01? I found the auction - #300172751855

it's 45.01 plus GBP 6 for postage.
Changed it to 51(racquet plus postage) since no one replies it.
hopefully now someone will.

We don't really respond, unless we know that person actually owns it. In this case, the completed auction number was located which supports this.

Please wait for the appropriate members to respond. However on the first glimpse, the price does seem low.

Just to add on top, it's more like common sense. Lets just change the words and you can easily know this answer.

A new anime DVD for example sells $24 among retailers. Now you see the same new DVD being sold on Ebay for around < $5. Does the price seem to be too good? Have you seen what the genuine item looks like?

I can tell you right now on Ebay, up to 99% of the anime DVDs listed there is counterfeit.

For the date code of 310778SP (date=31 Jul 2007), the valid serial no. should be after 7050000.
For the serial no. of 2391979, the valid date code should be in Jan 2000.
I would attempt to say that it is a fake.
But I really have no answer to this, since you bought it from a reputable badminton shop.

I bought a nanospeed 9k from india.. But its not having the text "GUMMETAL" near Elastic Ti. I have seen in many pictures that the text GUMMETAL is printed near Elastic Ti. Can someone tell whether this could be a fake or not?

Shaft Serial : 6197206
Cone Serial : 290562.

My doubt increased, as there paint got peeled off in two places after two very minor clashes... Is there any issue with the nanospeed paint work which is already known??

Please follow the rules and post it in the correct format as required.

GUMMETAL is only applicable if it is JP coded.

Please Matt, check this racket.

If you have pictures to provide me (ie. the cone), I can check by visuals.

However, for serial/date code information, please wait for the members who are familar with the serials to respond.

Chances are it is genuine since counterfeit UK coded rackets are not too common.

For the date code of 311260JP (date=21 Dec 2006), the Shaft Serial no. should be higher than 6585000.
For the shafte serial no. of 2007030, the valid date code shuould be in year 1999.

bought it now ... waiting for the item to arrive... i found out my yonex nanospeed 9000x stiff racket posted here previously is too head light balanced.... not very good for smashing... though very light for counter attacked and fast response.... and the string strung at 24lbs is still a bit soft for me... great for netting and drop shots... but out of 1000 attempts i only manage to get 10 or so .... so thinking of getting an offensive racket now... :D

As mentioned, this thread is for owners who own the racket. If you have shopping questions, then it should be posted in the correct thread of the forum.

Also inquiring about a BC member's racket is not necessary because BC does not allow counterfeit rackets to be sold.

leehsim,

I again checked the numbers and yes I posted it correctly.According to my list of Yonex Made in Taiwan, the latest entry is a Yonex Muscle Power 29 LT of serial no. of 9417041 cone code of 080874CD (Date=08 Aug 2007) Next 2 item of which the serial nos. being smaller are 9294354 300574FR and 9377174 170774SP. Your Carbonex 6 Super of shaft serial: 9315774 010743SP (Date=01 Jul 2004) is having its no. larger than 9294354 produced in 30 May 2007.
If your Carbonex 9's serial no. is having 7 rather 4, then it can fit in neatly.
With its 4, then I have problem figure it out as it is now produced in year 2004.

This is actually my first racket which I bought back in 2005. It looks genuine to me :-), and the store I bought it from was a decent one.
