Why he didn't play in the Panam qualifying round ?

I'm not sure about his current citizenship status in regards to him being eligible to play, but I spoke with him this past weekend at the US National @ OCBC(Orange County Badminton Club), and he said he will go but will not play. Instead he will accompany the team for coaching/sparring purposes. So no chances for him of playing, besides he hasn't been competing lately.
So, the USA's 2nd MD will likely be Bob Malaythong with Raju Rai/Eric Go/Ronald Sou/Dean Schoppe.
