I went to my regular badminton shop today at Sembawang Shopping Centre, Singapore. (SG residents might know).....
I saw a box full of Ti racket cases with rackets in them. I asked if i could see and the guy said "why not?" so i opened it up to find an MP100. He said that it was the new stock that just arrived. Cool......
Anyway, i was still a little curious about the MP77 and i asked him if he had it so i could take a closer look at it. He said no, he said its not worth importing them coz it didn't have any Ti and didn't have good balance or something.
any comment?
thanx for all replies

It's a strange comment to make. we've got two Danes who use this racquet and who got to the final of the Japan Open.

it goes to so show how powerful the image of ti-mesh has on regular consumers and how successful was yonex's ti-mesh marketing campaign

Ti mesh?! WHO CARES! it really doesnt make that big of a difference, and the mp77 and mp100 are two very different racquets with their own distinct characteristics....they are both designed for two very different type of players...i think the store is just making that up as an excuse....they just want ppl to buy into the ti mesh hype

Don't think so, the guy there wouldn't do that. He already has enough other non-Ti rackets sales to need to worry about influencing people on the Ti-Mesh campaign.

oh okay....guess i was wrong about the store part....but what i want to say is that the mp77 is a really good racquet despite what the store owner says(no offense to him of course).
As you may know, many badminton fanatics are using this racquet and like it very much. Kwun himself uses this racquet and likes it.

yeah?
I think he's a bit fickle. Talks about about using MP77 then MP100. He's difficult to keep up with.
but i love them all equally, at least that what i tell them. :)

Yes, one can learn a lot about a man by how he treat his 'toys' :)
of course he would try to convince you to buy the more expensive racquet. MP77 is an amazing racquet! and is actually a better racquet for most people who don't have a super amazingly strong arms. MP100 shaft is stiffer than MP77, and is only suited for pros.
