I got this raquet last week; a beautiful one as well! handled nicely and in my opinion; better then the defence version. My shots were much accurate and powerful.

In comparison with the Yonex Nanospeed 8000/Ashaway Nano Supreme and Armortec 800 defence; the Armortec 800 offense was a lot better. But I only have used it for a week only... I bought the Yonex Nanospeed and Armortec 800 defence just a week before the Armortec 800 offense.

I had a collision with another person and the frame broke... :(

Attached are the pictures;

Holy crap my exact same armortec broke in the exact same spot, it's resting peacefully in my friend's car trunk because i dont want my mom to see it. She might give me a lecture about how i should take care of expensive things that she pays for.

eww... since you only bought it for a week. there should still be a warranty on it right? I broke my AT500 4 months after I bought it, and got shipped a new one =)

Hi,
Which racket would u recomend to a player who is offensive, hard hitter, more repulsive? a NANOSPEED 9000X or ARMORTEC 800 OFFENSIVE? People say Nanospeed is not worth it cuz it can break faster if hit? I don't get that?

I don't think Nanospeed or any particular racket "break faster", unless if you tie it at very high tension or with incorrect technique. I've had multiple rackets and none of them had ever broke from mishit or proper usage, only one slipped out of wet old grip and smashed into the ground and have survived multiple clashes and ground digs either to retrieve shuttle or get balance.

If you are a hard hitter, why not try nanospeed x it is head light and will help your defence too. If you are weak and smash need a bit more power, get Armor 700, or 800 Offence or Ti 10.

broken frames usually result in warping too, so you can't lay the racquet down on its side or put it back in a bag, since the strings are tight, pulling on the frame in all directions.

cutting some strings will relieve the tension on the frame, allowing it to go back to its "normal" shape...

while clashes can result in broken strings at the site of breakage, strings do not break all over the string-bed.

To follow up this Armortec 800. I sent it off to the official distributor and they inspected it and came back saying clashes are not covered under warranty.

How ever the seller I bought it from wasn't an authorised reseller. The reseller promised a replacement when I sent some pictures to them if I agreed to pay half price. At this time the seller was hard to contact so I went direct to the official distributor. The distributor honored the replacement from the original reseller so everyones happy :)

Wow, well it's quite hard to look at considering I have one and been using it for about two and a half years. However, I was using it for singles most of the time, so I kept it out of clashes (Although I did get some pretty horrible clashes and it withstood them). By the way, my racket is 4U, so it's even more suprising that the racket that broke was a 3U. But it's nice to see something good (well at least not bad) came out of it.

I was wondering, is the middle section of the top area of the AT 800 made of Ti or is it all graphite? I'm curious as to whether the Ti will make it any more durable than an area that's all graphite. Also is the AT frame any more durable than the MP frame...if anyone knows. My gut feel is that the AT frame is quite a bit more durable than the MP.

My 3U AT500 took quite a beating at very close to the 12 o'clock position but seems to be fine except for paint chip.

If u want a real one.. Don t buy it from Ebay.. U re almost guaranteed that its a fake..i d rather pay more for a 100% genuine than a maybe fake maybe true one..get my point?
