i have been looking for two days now but can't find any!
and it really doesn't help to read a message on this forum that said: lots of places to play badminton in vientane! aaargh!

Find a sport shop and ask there or forget it and come to Ho Chi Minh where there are literally thousands of places to play and the min. you walk in someone will ask you to join them in a game;)

I actually got a night of badminton in in Vang Vieng one time, though. On the way out of town toward Luang Prabang, there is a big concrete box-like building that houses one court. The man who guides cave tours invited any backpackers to come along and I was the only taker that evening. That was the only time I ever played badminton in South-east Asia.

I hope you find a place, though.
