How are Zheng Bo & Sang Yang doing btw? At this rate Zheng Bo will have to start playing XD - if we assume his career progresses the same as Chen QQ and Zhang Jun.

taufik has challenged lindan to beat him in wc 2006, taufik will prepare himself exlclusively for wc 2006, he may skip many tournaments just for wc2006 :D

I'm wondering where is Lu Lan?
indeed, CHN should start featuring the younger players...
hmm, looks like the veteran Zhang Ning still wants to compete and get a WC title (more power to her)...but i thought in another thread, i read she has been appointed as one of the CHN's coach??....

Sorry, how do you know about that list? Is the list base on their latest world rank? I guess too far to talk about Madrid WBC-06, there's still may-june-july-august. Everything is possible happen in this four months beyond the spectacular 'september meet'...

This team is quite strong. It'll be tough to beat. I see 6-7 medals, maybe 8. :)

Taufik will reserve his energy to challenge SUper Dan ...as he promised during the TC in Japan. :)

wait a minute, i thought each country was only allowed to enter 3 singles/doubles in each event, even though they have more in the eligible rankings. has this changed?

i believe that if a country have 4 players in the top 8 at the cut-off date for qualifications, they would be able to send 4 players. If a country have 3 players in the top 16, they would be able to send 3 players. The rest I believe can only send up to 2 players.

I guess...not too difficult for Taufik to "handle" them :D .

TH vs LD = LD is still not sure if he can actually defeat TH ..
TH vs BAO = BAO is beginning to feel not confident...he even lost to him in INA open despite TH's injury.
TH vs CH = No further explanation,....CH suffers from a serious TH phobia.
Chen Jin = Too "inexperienced" to face TH in a WC-class (7*) tournament.

Oh boy...you must be seriously optimistic about Taufik's chance. As an Indonesian, I am not even sure if he will survive up to Quarter-Final. In fact, the only pair which I think will go the distance in the WC is Nova Widianto/Lilyana Natsir. They are very consistent this year, esp playing under the new system. If Xie Zhongbo is still injured by the time the WC comes knocking, then, the only pair that can threaten Nova/Butet is Nathan Robertson/Gail Emms. The match at the Aviva Singapore Open Final was a classic...and I do hope we could see a repeat of it in Madrid come September.

hahaha typical indra, you can not blame him for that, no matter wat as long as Taufik has not retired yet, his comments always be like that. later if Taufik knocked out, then he will just say congrats to his opponent then TH will be ready for the next WC or Olympic, so on and on until TH officially retired.

Zhang Jun/Gao Ling were beaten by a number of pairs recently. Twice by Lee Yong Dae/Hwang Yu Mi and once by Thomas Laybourn/Kamilla Rytter-Juhl. Luckily for the Indonesian pair, they have an excellent record against both the Thai and Danish pairs.

The two pairs which pose the highest threat are Xie Zhongbo/Zhang Yawen and Nathan Robertson/Gail Emms. Next up, its Zhang Jun/Gao Ling and Lee Jae Jin/Lee Hyo Jung. Only then, will the Thai, Korean no 2 pair of Lee/Hwang and the Danish pairs come into contention.

Depending on the luck of the draw (the Indonesian pair usually enjoyed that), they could face a smooth ride to the semi-final.

i'm not sure taufik has been up for any tournaments this year. seems that events off the court are disturbing his concentration. will he be able to put it all behind him and perform in spain? hmmmm .... looks unlikely ....

on a different note, LD and LCW look to be very consistent. i don't think there have been many tournaments this year in which if either of them participated, they failed to win it between them. i guess the thai open is one example ... :D
