MOST IMPORTANTLY will Taufik be playing? When is he retiring? I heard that after the next All England he is calling it quits. (He wants that AE Final badly...especially after his wife made him miss the '06 one). I though it was after the Beijing Olympics but does anyone else know?

Selamat Datang, Super Series!

Mimpi jadi kenyataan. Rencana besar Badminton World Federation (BWF) untuk mengganti struktur baru turnamen tinggal menunggu pelaksanaan.

Hadiah yang disediakan pun minimal 200 ribu dolar AS, sedangkan Super Series Master Final 500 ribu dolar AS.

Perubahan ini pun disambut baik pemain. Bintang-bintang mirip Lin Dan, Bao Chunlai (Cina), Peter Gade (Denmark), Lee Hyun-il (Korea), termasuk Taufik Hidayat, menyambut baik penyelenggaraan Super Series ini.

“Saya senang dan akan mempersiapkan diri lebih baik untuk menghadapi Super Series tahun depan,” ujar Taufik.

Selamat datang, Super series!

Looks like your campus is Atma Jaya?! So far, it has not corfirmed yet from PBSI where is the venue of IndoSS to local media. I'm doubted if Djarum still sponsored IndoSS because according BWF's web there is no title-sponsor for event's name.

Nope its not in Atma, and I just found out yesterday that the news in the radio was wrong... Its quite funny actually that Singapore SS is called Aviva Open Singapore SS and Japan SS is called Yonex Open Japan Super Series... Both Yonex and Aviva are sponsors, right? Anyway, i think that it will be best if Indo SS be held in Jakarta, no offence to the other cities, but the facilities (istora senayan) in Jakarta is the best in Indonesia... Besides, its a kind of warm up for PBSI, for Jakarta will be the host of the next Thomas and Uber Cup again... It has to be better than before...

Finally, there is confirmation about IndoSS/07 in local media. Quoted from KOMPAS today's edition (13/02/07) :
-- PB PBSI Foreign Affairs Chief, Gandhi Sulistiyanto give certainty that Jakarta will be the host of Indonesia Super Series as scheduled 08-13 May 2007.--

And the venue definitely is Badminton Hall GBK Senayan Sports Complex. Anyway, who's make trip to Jakarta?!

Just info : Jakarta also is a place for Final Round of Badminton Super League 2007 (a.k.a.Indonesia Badminton League) as planned 21 June - 01 July/07.

Exactly, last time Indo Open in Jakarta was almost 2 years ago (September 2005). Every international bdm tourney (in Jkt) always held at Istora Senayan (now Gelora Bung Karno).

About ticket-sales, I don't think they will use on-line ticket via internet. Ticket-box will available on the spot at the stadium and the price isn't so expensive like music-concert. Seems you will be there, maybe other BC members too!

Hopefully all top-class shuttlers will participate this SS, no travel-warning or INA-phobia again...

I think they won't, usually they don't even have official website like other tournaments... Ticket box i think is in 'Pos Satpam' in the entrance of Istora's parking area... serious ???
wahh...that would be nicee..
but we wouldnt need foreign player...
our player is top quality...

In MD almost all clubs have top quality players. But in MS, WS, WD... not all clubs have top quality players. And all clubs need at least 3 singles and 2 doubles pair per team (just like in Thomas Cup and Uber Cup).

And by 'foreign players', that includes Indonesians who play abroad for another country. For example, PB Jaya Raya do not have good MS players right now, so they plan to 're-import' Ronald Susilo (Singapore) and Agus Haryanto (Hong Kong) who were Jaya Raya players when they were in Indonesia. They may even invite Tony Gunawan. Tony has strong ties with Jaya Raya... his current partner, Chandra, is still in their old club.

Suryanaga may invite back Wenny Rahmawati (France) too. These guys are relatively easy to invite home to play for their old club because of the old ties...

In addition, 'foreign players' like Zhou Mi (now HK, I think), Huang Chia Chi (now Australia), can raise the level of play for our WS... We need tough level of competition for our WS so it will return to Susi's time. Remember, at that time, Yuni Kartika, Yuliani Sentosa, Mia Audina all have at one time or another accompanied Susi in the world top ten.

Also, we had Lili Tampi-Finarsih and Zelin Resiana-Eliza who are among the top WD. The fact that we have so many top women players showed that Indonesia's overall level of play was top world-quality. (thus, we really deserve the 1994 and 1996 Uber Cup) :D Not today, I'm afraid. Our current best WS is PB Djarum's Maria Kristin, ranked #24 in the world. Firda and Nana are even worse...

Hopefully, with this new SUPER-LIGA BULUTANGKIS, our overall level of play will increase. For both the men and women....

For further info and updates about Indonesian Open and Superliga Bulutangkis, just visit www.bulutangkis.com (http://www.bulutangkis.com/) :) They have updates every 2 days... All the latest news about Indonesian badminton is there.

PB Tangkas.... good in MS with Simon, Alamsyah, and Indra Bagus. Not so strong in MD with Nova and Devin. Good in WD with Vita, Lili Butet Natsir, Jo Novita. Not so strong in WS with only Yuan Kartika there... (need to import Zhou Mi and Wang Chen)... he he he... :D

If PB Jaya Raya 're-import' Ronald Susilo and Agus Haryanto and Tony Gunawan, then they should be the favorites to win the Men's title. Because they have Kido-Hendra and Chandra Wijaya in MD. The women's side is where PB Jaya Raya is strongest: Firdasari, Nana, Pia Zebaidah, Beleatrix M. for WS and Gresya, Pia, etc. for WD.

PB Djarum would be another top favorite in both Men's and Women's... :) Andre Kurniawan, Ari Yuli Wahyu, Andreas Adityawarman in MS, Luluk Hadiyanto, Yoke, Rian, Eng Hian, Fran Kurniawan, Sigit Budiarto, Lingga, M. Rizal in MD. Maria Kristin, Rosaria Pungkisari, Silvy Kurniawan, Maria Febe in WS, Meliana Jauhari, Purwati, Shendy, and Yulianti in WD.

Other clubs... Taufik, Flandy, Yoga in SGS... Sony, Alven in Suryanaga... I heard Rexy Mainaky wants to play for Ratih Banten  (to help out his brother Reony there). I was surprised. But hey, why not? I would love to see Rexy in action again...

Harianto Arbi, Lioe Tiong Ping, (veterans from Djarum) etc. will play for Mustika Studios for the fun of it... they often play with Mustika's owner (maybe almost every week) at Djarum's badminton courts in Slipi-Petamburan.

(I think these veterans are going to make the entertainment better) :D

But, Krisna, I think those clubs should not import plyrs.. I do know one thing, Pb Tangkas would not hv the money to import the plyrs.. I think Pb Tangkas would just use their best WS players.. Liga Indo should hv for the junior team too, then, those younger plyrs can train their skill and mental... How to stand to their expectations.. Esp those women plyrs, we seriously need them... LOL.. Bigger clubs would have a bit lob-sided game.. Esp Djarum and Jaya Raya.. ^O^

Hmm, looks like several BC members are very enthusiast about Badminton Super League which sponsored by DJARUM! I think this thread specifically to discuss all about INA SS/07. Make another thread, maybe?

Still lack info about INA SS, have no idea why PBSI never create credible official website to promote and socialize this international tourney?! With huge prize-money below KOR and same level w/ CHN SS, so terrible for bdm fans who wants to know completely.

Just wondering for me, is it badminton still popular in INA?? I guess not following poor achievement of INA shuttlers at international arena. So the League is one effort from PBSI to awake this sport in INA society w/ entertainment packaging.

My expectation : badminton will be the MOST Popular Sport in INA but can you see the reality? Hard to find badminton 'LIVE' Telecast in INA's TV station but we have no problem to watch another sport action such as Football/F1/A1/Basketball/Golf. Why? Because, rating-problem that related by audience preference/favourite.This condition is so different in 80's/90's era when badminton was top-priority sport together w/ Sepakbola to get 'LIVE' show at TV.

Wikipedia mentioned Football is the most popular sport in INA and Badminton is the INA's most Success Sport. PBSI spend IDR.3 Billions to launch Liga Super, for what? As effective promotion tool to socialize badminton in INA (from BOLA). It means bdm popularity have decreased!

That is true... Although Indonesian soccer is one of the worst soccer I've ever seen in my life, because sometimes it provides the combination of rugby, boxing, and smackdown :D *no offense to Indonesian soccer fans*, still it seems like soccer, both international and domestic league, is the most seen sports in Indonesia... Unlike soccer, only few people watch and follow every single news about badminton... I seldom found news about badminton in newspaper like Kompas, Suara Pembaharuan, Jakarta Post, etc *no offense to these newspaper*. But it is really easy to find news about soccer, about two pages of newspaper is filled with soccer news. Sometimes I find that the domestic soccer news become the headline on the sports page, but badminton..just a little paragraphs with small-sized title placed on the corner of the page... Before world cup, there is football fever in Indonesia, but before Thomas Cup or World Championship, I never find any badminton fever in Indonesia... I mean, Indonesia didin't even compete in the World Cup, but we did compete in Thomas Cup:mad: ... It is so shameful to know that badminton, the most succesful sports in Indonesia, is beaten by one of the sports that doesn't even improve in this country *I'm really sorry to say this, but I think that is what happen in Indonesia :crying: *... In my own experience, I found that most of my friends watch badminton thournaments like Thomas Cup, World Championship, and Asian Games, if it is broadcasted in Indonesia not in the morning or midnight on the private TV stations (like SCTV, RCTI, Lativi). For that, I think that TV stations should show more badminton to the audience so that it will be the most popular sport in Indonesia...:D

These soccer fans are also badminton fans. They go to the badminton stadium and cheer our Thomas & Uber Cup team... Er... even sing many common soccer songs in the badminton stadium... :p

Correction: PBSI did not and will not spend a single cent for Super Liga Badminton. I am sure. If Bola wrote that, then they are mistaken. The sponsors will pay for everything. Just like Indonesian Open, the sponsors pay for everything. PBSI are very cash-strapped! :crying:

PBSI used their income [contract money with Yonex and third party donations due to the "influence" of Mr. Sutiyoso] to finance the living cost, training cost [shuttlecock, coaches' salary], and travelling cost of our national team. That's basically it. Money always run out every 6 months. People within PBSI are now very aware of their dire financial condition. :(

--------------
And Wikipidia is correct, soccer is by far the most popular sport. It has always been so, maybe ever since our independence in 1945. Badminton is still popular, but yes, Indonesia is not in a 'badminton fever' mood unlike in the 1970s and 1980s.

I have to note that there are a lot of young kids who are playing badminton... A LOT! :) This is due to the 'Taufik effect'. I witnessed thousands of new kids participating in badminoton tournaments all over Indonesia. We may not be in a 'badminton fever' mood now, but in my opinion, the temperature is rising... ;)

Of,course PBSI's 'best-partner' DJARUM will financing Liga Super not PBSI itself. PBSI always needs big sponsor like every other sport, don't know until when this cigarette company will supporting INA's badminton??

To make badminton booming again in INA, promotional media must taking part seriously mainly TV as we know INA's society basically is TV's addict. More bdm tourneys that broadcasted, automatically more peoples to watch it!

I'm doubted if Djarum still sponsored IndoSS because according BWF's web there is no title-sponsor for event's name.

Well as much as I hate to see a tournament loose a main sponsor, I think it is a good thing that it's not sponsored by Djarum. Doesn't anyone else think its wrong that a major sporting event is sponsored by a tobacco company? Badminton is the second most physically demanding sport in the world, (Waterpolo is first), and we have a "team Djarum"? What's wrong with this picture?:(

As much as I agree with you, unfortunately, Djarum is still the biggest sponsor for INA badminton. In fact, while PBSI is reluctant to send some players to the International scene, Djarum is the one who does. Come to think of it, I think is more fair to say that Djarum players supplement the PBSI players in international tournaments.

Djarum also has the oldest and most reputable badminton training center in INA - evidently, it has produced numerous international players...

Guys, I heard from PBSI officials yesterday that China will send all their top players to Indonesia Super Series 2007. I heard they will send as many as 6 players/pairs per category [if they qualify]. That's basically the whole team. :) So we can expect Zhang Ning, Xie Xinfang, Zhu Lin, Lu Lan, Jiang Yanjiao, Wang Lin etc... for WS. Lin Dan, Chen Yu, Chen Jin, etc. for MS.

I expect Malaysia to do the same because of our proximity. This will be a very tough Indonesian Open... :D Fun fun fun to watch...

WoW, CHN bdm stars attack Jakarta! Thx for your info (looks like you know PBSI insider, faster than media!). sugarfree, seems no busway direct-route from Salemba to GBK. You must use another public transportation such as regular bus (PPD) from Salemba to Halte Busway Bundaran HI (Thamrin). From HI you can go to Istora by Busway Koridor I and you will stop at Halte GBK. Easy route.

Other choice : take Busway Koridor V (Kp.Melayu-Ancol) at Halte UI until next stop Halte Senen. From Senen choose Busway Koridor II (Pulogadung-Harmoni) until HCB Harmoni. And then, take Busway Koridor I (Blok M-Kota) until your final destination at Halte GBK! I think this way is too complicated.

Hi guys, i found this article in bolanews.com to support Krisna's post...

Menjelang Indonesia Super Series
Pasukan Maut Cina

Cina unjuk kekuatan.

(bhw)

Pemain yang Dikirim
Tunggal Putra: Lin Dan, Bao Chunlai, Chen Jin, Chen Yu, Chen Hong Tunggal Putri: Xie Xingfang, Zhang Ning, Zhu Lin, Lu Lan, Jiang Yanjiao, Wang Lin Ganda Putra: Cai Yun/Fu Haifeng, Xie Zhongbo/Guo Zhendong, Zhang Jun/Zheng Bo, Shen Ye/He Hanbin Ganda Putri: Gao Ling/Zhang Jiewen, Yang Wei/Zhao Tingting, Zhang Yawen/Wei Yili, Yu Yang/Du Jing Ganda Campuran: Zheng Bo/Gao Ling, Xie Zhongbo/Zhang Yawen, He Hanbin/Yu Yang, Zhang Jun/Zhao Tingting

THE DEADLY CHINESE TEAM (literally :D )

China is sending its best players to compete in the Djarum Indonesia Super Series in Jakarta, 7-13 Mei.

"China is coming in full force. All of its top players are coming to Jakarta," said the PB PBSI tournament director, Mimi Irmawan.

China is sending world's top players such as Lin Dan (men singles), Xie Xingfang (women singles), Cai Yun/Fu Haifeng (men doubles), Gao Ling/Zhang Jiewen (women doubles), and Gao Ling/Zheng Bo (mixed doubles) to join the USD 250,000 tournament.

The only changes in the list of players are the women doubles. Gao Ling, which normally partners Huang Sui, is now teaming up with Zhang Jiewen, whose usual partner is Yang Wei. There are no words yet on Huang Sui's absence.

Despite that, China is still the heavy favourites. It will be difficult for other countries to break the Chinese domination, considering the fact that China has been dominating the women doubles for the past decade.

"This is what differentiates 'open tournaments' with Super Series. Every Super Series tournament will be flooded by world's best players. In addition, there are also huge prize money," added Mimi at the PB PBSI Secretariat
kantor(?), Wisma Karsa, Senayan, Wednesday(28/3) morning.

It is possible that China will sweep all 5 titles. If Indonesia players are not careful, they will again return empty-handed, just like the previous 4 Super Series tournament.

Will these 27 players pose a threat or otherwise? Let us watch it together at Istora Gelora Bung Karno, Senayan, Jakarta.

The list of players:
Men singles: Lin Dan, Bao Chunlai, Chen Jin, Chen Yu, Chen Hong Women singles: Xie Xingfang, Zhang Ning, Zhu Lin, Lu Lan, Jiang Yanjiao, Wang Lin Men doubles: Cai Yun/Fu Haifeng, Xie Zhongbo/Guo Zhendong, Zhang Jun/Zheng Bo, Shen Ye/He Hanbin Women doubles: Gao Ling/Zhang Jiewen, Yang Wei/Zhao Tingting, Zhang Yawen/Wei Yili, Yu Yang/Du Jing Mixed doubles: Zheng Bo/Gao Ling, Xie Zhongbo/Zhang Yawen, He Hanbin/Yu Yang, Zhang Jun/Zhao Tingting

I'm surprised to see Chen Hong's name there. I thought he had retired from international competitions?

very hard to say since TH is not ranked in the top 4.
he'll only be able to avoid LD for sure until the final if he's seeded #2.
otherwise he's just as likely to meet him in the SF, QF or even sooner.

it can be a LD vs TH final, if TH is drawn at a different half from LD. by knocking out the 2nd seed, TH has the chance to enter the final and meet LD. I'm sure Taufik will be able to beat Chen Jin at his home country.

I intend to watch starting round-32 this time around... In any Superseries, even the earlier matches can provide great quality matches. :D I wish to see Taufik win his seventh title breaking Ardy's famous record.

In MD, I just want to see KKK-TBH get beaten. :p Hardly any Malaysians win the Indonesian Open title in any category. KKK-TBH seem to be Malaysia's best chance in years... But we shall not let them win... [er... well, we shall try to not let them win]... Ha ha ha. Their record against Indonesia's MD are very very good, I admit. :p

I started watching Indonesian Open since 1985... :) In those days, we had no air condition and smoking was allowed indoors... Morten Frost Hansen was breathing heavily by the middle of the 1st set. Ha ha ha...:D I remember seeing Yang-Yang in action... now that guy was never tired...

I guess your super-duper dream contains your fave-players especially Reiko-chan. TH vs LD -- the-most-wanted final match for all bdm fans, wish this dream comes true for INA spectator to watch them LIVE at Istora!

Yes, those were my super duper dreams... Well can you blame me?!? :p Oh, let's see your dream finals... Clely, Kimpe, and others. I want to see how different they are from mine... just for fun. Ha ha ha... :D

I saw TH vs. LD in the 2004 Indonesian Open semifinals. IT WAS AWESOME! Rubber sets with TH winning... One of the best match ever! :D

TH - BCL last year was also very good. Basically, TH likes to show-off in front of his home crowd. All the fancy stuff came out. The more the crowd sang "Taufiiik Taufffiiiikk.... Taufikkkk Tauuffffiiikkk...", the more he is energized and motivated to showcase all his moves... Vanity is his secret magic-potion... :)

Ha ha ha, again, since this is Badminton Central, we can predict whatever we wish, since there is no monetary or reputational consequence of predicting wrongly... :p

It is our dream final if the 2007 Indonesian Super Series MS is TH vs. LD! :D  That is sooo damn coooollll!!!!

Dream 2007 Indonesian Superseries Finals [at least for me...] :p :
MS: Taufik vs. Lin Dan
MD: KKK-TBH vs. Tony-Chandra
WS: Xie Xinfang vs. Maria Kristin [yes yes, my BIG UNLIKELY DREAM here]
WD: Reiko Shiota-Kumiko Ogura vs. Gresya-Vita [I always dream of Reiko...]
XD: Gao Ling-Zheng Bo vs. Gresya-M. Rijal

Ok ok, I know I know this is dreaming. Realistically, no Indonesian WS can reach the finals [of any 2007 Superseries]. Possible, but very unlikely... :( But hey, this is Badminton Central where we can freely write our badminton action dreams in cyberspace just for fun... :D

hahahaha, fair enough, it's good to have dreamzz ...
anyways, i think the MS and MD finals is a possibility, depending on the draw.
the other 3, well, unlikely, but you never know, stranger things have happened.

..and depending what kind of draw he's in and esp. after some time to rest & train, i wouldn't be surprise to see him at least in the Semifinal Round, if not reaching the Final..And who knows, if Taufik has been preparing and training, we could see another Taufik vs. Chen Hong rematch in the Finals(as Chen Hong previously did 3 yrs ago)..;)

let's see how CH does in the ABC, if he does well there, i'll expect to see a strong challenge from him for the IO. breaks from competition can go both ways when it comes to performances.

I hope the supporters will make another 'earthquake' inside Istora this year, esp if Taufik vs Lin really happen... Let's imagine the 'Huu-Yaa-Huu-Yaa' sound and 'Taufik.... I think a main consideration is TV broadcast cost. Moving TV equipment is an expensive activity. For Indonesian TV companies, they prefer the event to be held in Jakarta... followed by other main cities in Java. If the event is held in Batam or Palembang or Padang or Pontianak etc. the cost for them is more than the expected revenue from advertisement. Thus they shall be reluctant.

Without TV, then the prospective main sponsor, such as Djarum or Aqua or Coca-Cola will be reluctant to be the main sponsor... This is the reality of badminton economics, ladies and gentlemen...

..yes, personally, i do hope next yr's Indonesian Open will be held in another city, ie. Surabaya, just like last yr. And just to spread the wealth around. The T&UC can be held in Jakarta. Considering also, the T&UC Finals will only be 1 month apart with the INA Open. About logistics and having sponsors and cost of moving around, i think Surabaya should be able to handle it, as they've proven to be quite capable of doing so. As well as they are the next biggest city after Jakarta.;)

TH vs LD in the Indo Final - this proves that fans like to see the best of the best players and that these two good players whom some love to idolise blindly or criticise bitterly deserve to be in the final even before the tournament starts. What if they are fated to meet in the 1st round ??????

It dawn on me that the higher the expectation, the greater the disappointment. At the end, as a badminton fan, I just want to watch the best of the best played in a sporting way no matter who wins.

Usually, there is no weekly tickets, its free for every weekdays, Saturday (SF) ticket cost Rp 75.000,- for VIP seats and Rp 50.000,- for Kelas I, while on Sunday (Finals) it cost Rp 100.000,- for VIP and Rp 75.000,- for Kelas I... I dunno if they change the price this year, coz this is Indo SS and no longer Indo Open... Usually about a week before, there are information about the tickets, schedule, etc in Tabloid Bola (but I'm not sure if its also available in bolanews.com, because its more like an advertisement than a news)...

Volleyball has an event for this week so automatically you have seen some promotional tools at there and advertisement on newspaper. Anyway, looks like sugar_free is university student of Dentistry Faculty?!

About SF, hmmm I think only 1 court that will broadcasted by SCTV (based on Krisna info) because timing problem. The organizer still use 2 courts as usual, quite impossible if all 10 matches must use single court--too long to wait.

Watching together w/ some BC members, a lot of funs I guess! I read another info of this in portal bulutangkis, there's one MBI agenda titled "Nonton Bareng Indonesia SS" 7-13 May/07 plus one contact-number (cellphone), maybe this is one alternative to gathering for INA bdm lovers.

- SF and FINAL : Rp. 50.000 (1st class) ; Rp. 75.000 (VIP)

It's very worthed for us (very2 reasonable price) to watch live at ISTORA from early rounds until finale,
..a very good deal & very reasonable(at least for U.S. standard)...Esp. for the Semis' and Finals' bargain-like prices of $5.00(1st Class) & $7.50(VIP):p ;); considering the list of players coming, unlike last yr/previous yrs where many top players cancelled last minute..

Hmmm... I think u are right, the first days when the tickets are still free, there will be lots of mahasiswi... My friends are planning to watch it too... They are like begging me to bring them with me :D ... Males bgt bawa rombongan, haha... Yah, quarter final should pay? Usually its free of charge... *ga asik banget... Cape d... * Seriously, final is only 50 and 75 rb? Usually its 75 and 100 rb... Wah... Great idea to make Istora crowded at the finals...
I'm planning to watch it everyday... Maybe weekdays only about 2 hours... Friday, Saturday, Sunday, I planned to be there from first 'til the last match...

You can check the ticket-price info on portal bulutangkis web. Hmm, seems u gonna be tour-guide/escort position, sugar_free!

I guess TH-CJ encounter will be aired by SCTV on Wednesday around 13.00-15.00, waiting for match overview on tournament software...

Talking about preparation of this event, seems the organizer plus official hotel (the Sultan) so far is really amateur. The complete-story that everyone can read on bulutangkis.com (sorry,in bahasa INA only), several contingents has been crowded at hotel-lobby yesterday because hotel-room had not ready. OMG, bad image of course from the foreigners. Meanwhile bdm court until last night was still functioned for Book Expo, the organizer set it in midnight...full of rush and absolutely they worked overtime due limited time. *biasa deh detik2 terakhir baru ngebut tau dah hasilnya gimana tuh lapangan plus atributnya...abis SKS sih!*

indra, are u surprise enough about the court readiness?? That's Indonesia, man! Always last minute and instant culture. Sdh biasa gitu lho...

According schedule on BWF's web the Qualifying should be started at 11.00 today (07/05/07) but got an info QRound will begin tonight, don't know which one is true, PBSI is so stingy/minimal to give detail information about schedule or anything else, even tournamentsoftware is still blank. Maybe Krisna,tommy_bun or others who has connection/link with PBSI can sharing for us here?!

All shuttlers are training at GOR Jl.Asia Afrika not Istora including INA players who has flexibility they may choose Pelatnas Cipayung to exercise.

Two years ago, I bought the ticket near Pos Satpam in the main entry to the istora parking area... *klo ga salah wkt itu tempat jual tiketnya di samping pintu masuk parkiran mobil gt*... If you cannot find it, just ask the satpam (security) there... There were, and i assume will be, lots of calo, they sell tiket kelas I 25rb more than the usual price, which make the same price with the VIP ticket... I'm not sure about watching it on Wed (ada praktikum sampe sore), but I'll try to watch it on Thursday (moga2 dd-ku plg agak sore jd bs mampir ke istora dulu), and I'm definitely going to watch it on Friday (mesti keluar duit d... hixhix)... Saturday, not sure, but I want to watch it so bad... Sunday, I think I'll be there... Jadwal gw uda di-list gt... hahaha...

Indo MS are quite weak in this open. TF is totally out of shape when he played with GADE. I was staring and wondering what an 'uncle' when he walk to the court. When the players are weak, their supporters can scream until blood come out. In the end will still lose. *

Ahh....seems like u have lots of friends in the sports field as well :D

OT: Indeed...lots and lots of new malls going to be ready by end of this year...including the posh Pacific Place (name copied from the one in HKG?) near the BEJ Building.

The foreign players are lucky to be there this year with so many new malls already in place, like the Grand Indonesia, which houses the newly opened Seibu and the Blitz Megaplex. I was one of the first few customers of Blitz when it opened its doors early last mth..hehe...:D

Never forget how the series of mall/plaza/shop.centre existence have triggered flood catastrophe in this metropolitan. So ironic, becoming modern city plus urban life-style display but very fragile with routine-flood. OoO?!

Traffic jam in Jakarta is habitual thing, don't be shock of it, wasting time exactly. Hmm, just protocol-street that have 'attention' from local government, the rest is full of big holes like a basin. And public-transportation, another OoO...worst,far2 away from comfortable situation...
Needs extra-patient and always alert to resist here.
