You've been our great photographer durings MO. And congratulations to all the winners of MO! Peace =) ctjcad 06-18-2006, 01:46 PM ..well, as mentioned before, enough said, you did an absolutely brilliant work! What can i say, words can't describe how well a job you have done..Without your efforts and all those wonderful pics, how would we folks be able to see any these pics...:p  On the pictures themselves, i noticed for the last couple of days, you seemed to be sitting quite close to the court(s). Also, did you use a reg. digital camera or one of those with long lenses. You probably must've gotten a pretty good seat as well. And again lots of great variety of pictures, different camera angles and people/players. A lot of interest pics(ie. incl. the one with LD walking away whilst LCW was still taking pics). And looks like the stadium was pretty much full on the Finals day. Anyways, appreciate again for your hard work & willingness to take some of your time to go out there to take these pics and post them here(i know you are a big fan and true enthusiast of badminton)....Hopefully, you'll be able to do an encore again next yr, we'll be looking fw to it; or if possible, join us at the SO...;) :) EastDevil 06-18-2006, 02:08 PM ..well, as mentioned before, enough said, you did an absolutely brilliant work! BadFever 06-18-2006, 06:10 PM Gessle, thanks again for the great pics. You seems to have a lot of talent in photo taking. You should consider taking up photo journalism as a career. You posted just enough pics to tell the story of each match. The pics of Li Mao in ah pek's outfits is very good and very funny. I also like the expressions from ZJ/GL where ZJ is carrying the huge cheque walking out.....very, very funny. Gessle 06-18-2006, 07:25 PM I m using SONY DSC-M1. so no long lenses. I know nothing bout photography. Initially all the settings were AUTO. Thanks again for the tips of using higher ISO n increasing the speed of recording. I think people care too much about winning that sometimes they lose control/temper & respect (for self as well as others). My take is that the most important aspect in whatever you do is to enjoy it first and don't let little things like winning destroy our respect for the game because if we all did, this orderly (most of the time anyway) would be in chaos. Second thing for me would be improvement which is both referring to the skills as well as conduct and sportmanship. You may not be a good player starting off but if you continue to practice & put in all your effort to improve your game sooner or later you will come close and even beat your opponents. When you do those things well, you'll notice that you will start winning a lot and also people will admire you for your skills. I think most people would like to a player with skills and respect rather than one with just skills and bad attitudes (arrogant/snobbish, ill-tempered, rude/disrespectful). This is why Tony Gunawan is my most respected figure of the current generation. He is not only very good in terms of skills but also very smart/cunning on the court and on top of everything, he is very respectful towards everyone yet the list of his qualities does not stop there. pauline 06-20-2006, 07:40 AM Li mao had a joke with yap using mandarin, and rexy was confused  didn;t know mandarin, just laughing :D really?haha, it's nice to see 3 coaches from 3 different country laughing together ....:) hara^kazuko 06-20-2006, 07:43 AM really?haha, it's nice to see 3 coaches from 3 different country laughing together ....:) It's also nice to meet some of the BCers here from all over the world taufik-ist 06-20-2006, 08:01 AM It's also nice to meet some of the BCers here from all over the world yeah... mee too, practising my english :D pauline 06-20-2006, 08:05 AM It's also nice to meet some of the BCers here from all over the world yeah....ppl from all walks of life.. |
