hello, i'm new here, soulberry, 21 yrs old in bkt jaliL,
ask u all guys, did u all know where is malaysia team
training centre, is ''bukit kiara'' or ''bukit jalil''?
this wednesday, i go out lunch with my colleague in sri
petaling's chinese food court, i saw choong tan fook with
his friend at there. i cant believe on first sight, my heart
think ''y this person familiar-looking?'',''is it choong tan
fook?''ask myself,them i discuss with my coll, he said,''look
like'',but choong is going to leave cos he finished his lunch
already.i doubt whether want to call him and take a photo or
not,but finally,i didnt and watch him walk to his car, i
confirmed is him by saw he wearing ''Malaysia'' words sweater.
after i back to office, i discuss with my friend, whose plays
badminton with me, he said:''don't they train in bkt kiara,
cos bkt jalil is a back up team?''
so i wonder, where is their training center right now?:o

Currently, the training centre is at Stadium Juara in Bukit Kiara next to KLGCC. But they will be moving to Bukit Jalil within this couple of month. The facilities at Bukit Jalil would be much better. Sometimes when you see the players at Bukit Jalil is because they might be there to see the physio, weight training or just fro a NSC meeting. But knowing BAM, this couple of months could mean ages..... :D

BTW, traning starts from 8.30am to around 11am/12pm for the morning session Mons to Sat. afternoon session start from around 3pm to 6 pm except Wed, Sat and Suns which the players have time off.

The backup and juniors also train at Stadium Juara

ic, they have a day-off and 2 days of half-day training, whereas as for the Chinese, I remember reading somewhere in this forum that they have to train everyday. Very taxing but pays off well :D

nicknames. I once heard lee tsuen seng calling ccm as "Ah Ming" and ccm calling lts as "Seng Kor"

New training base for national shuttlers

PETALING JAYA: The national shuttlers gearing up for the Doha Asian Games have moved their training base to Gymnasium Two in Bukit Jalil.
The Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) high performance manager Lim Kok Wye said that the players had shifted from Stadium Juara in Bukit Kiara on Thursday.
http://thestar.com.my/archives/2006/6/27/sports/p47Choong.jpg A NEW HOME: Top doubles shuttlers Choong Tan Fook-Lee Wan Wah in action during training at the Gymnasium Two in Bukit Jalil Monday.

“Except for players who are on their way back from Taipei (after the Taiwan Open), the others have started training here. The rest of the players will go through full-time training starting on Wednesday,” said Kok Wye.

“Currently, we have placed nine courts. We will have a total of 12 by next month. This will be enough for both the singles and doubles players to train. The players are also staying at the Bukit Jalil hostel here.
“By being here, the players will have easy access to all the facilities at Bukit Jalil. They will also be focused in their preparation for the Asian Games in Doha (Dec 1-15).”

The BAM had directed the players to move their training base following the instructions of Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Azalina Othman Said, who wanted all the elite athletes to be based in Bukit Jalil.

Kok Wye however said that the junior players, under the charge of Rashid Sidek, would remain at Bukit Kiara.
