For everybody and anybody who has been following Malaysian Badminton, it is only common knowledge that Lee Chong Wei has not lost a single tournament game within Malaysia since a GABAZILLION years ago! This would include all Malaysian Opens, National Circuit Opens, and National Grand Prix Finals!!!
This Melaka Open, I highly doubt WCH or M Hafiz H will be competing due to repective injuries. Also doubtfull is Roslin H as news is he is leaving for Denmark but I'm not too sure when.
SO, the road to MO 2006 (Melaka Open) Championship seems very clear for Lee Chong Wei again.... Or is it???
Hiding among the people closest to him, plots the greatest ursurp!!!!
Who among Lee Chong Wei's comrades will be as Brutus was to Julius Ceaser???? Will KBH revive his ailing career by stamping out LCW's reign?, or those like Lee TS, James Chua, K Yogendran whom have long stood in the shadows 'jump' LCW in a surprise Gambit???
Also in the Fray starring in like hungry like wolves to pounce on National Squad Meat are the likes of Ismail Saman & Sairul Amar Ayob, ex National Squad members.
Young warriors like Arif Latiff, Chan Kwong Beng, Vountus Mawan, Lok Chong Chieh will also be gunning to make their mark.
Lastly, Rashids 2010-12 Soldiers will be out fighting not just to keep their space in their squad, but prove that they are the future National Squad.......... at the expense of any senior or anyone in that fact, whom get in their way....
It gonna be a RUMBLE in the historical city Melaka!

Lee Chong Wei won't attend the Melaka Open this year while he will go to the Macau Open to grab for more title. This is to make sure he can be in the top two ranking before the World Championship. He is the only Malaysian player which is excluding from the Malaka Open. So,who do you think will become the champion???

This Defo means the Melaka Open Title is up for grabs! Who will make their name in Melaka on 23rd July 2006?
The Suspense is buiding!!!

i hope KBH can shine this time since training under Li Mao. I dont know whats wrong with him, he seem to be very fast on court and decent racquet skills. Is it because of his lack of racquet skills are made him behind others?

Is it because of his lack of racquet skills are made him behind others?Actually from the beginning i think that he is a talented and skillful player.I even think that he can be the next LCW and the future of badminton in Malaysia. After his failure in Thomas Cup,i feel that he lack of confidence and still blaming himself .Maybe is the pressure from the media and all the badminton fans. What i want to tell him is what is past that can never return,as a Malaysian, although i am very sad about the thomas cup but i never blame him, nobody want this to happen. What i hope now is he can really let go about this matter and perform well.A good player must be able to face failure and stand up after lost.I really hope him can give us a new impression coz they are still many people supporting him.:)

Melaka Open looks like a benchmark to gauge the performance and standard of the national back up team. It will be less interesting without LCW,WCH and Hafiz. By the way is Wong Mew Choo playing in this tournament? There are some contradicting report that she is playing Macao Open.
Other than LCW, we are still looking for some good players to fill up the gap. The Women single in the national team left only Mew Choo and Mew Kheng. What about Julia Wong and Norshaliza and Anita- arent they not in?

Mew Choo is playing she is the top seed...julia is the second seed..but norshaliza and anita is not playing due to injuries...
Well, that Badminton Association of Malacca(BAM) is really hot still with those zinc roof, no need to warm up :D
Some of the high school in Malacca has nicer facilities than the ancient BAM plus more parking ... Anyway, enjoy the macth and drink plenty of fluid.

This might explain why...:o
Source: www.thestar.com.my (http://www.thestar.com.my)
Frustrated Tsuen Seng quits national team (http://thestar.com.my/sports/story.asp?file=/2006/7/22/sports/14916992&sec=sports)
Actually the news is late. He already quit the National Team weeks ago. Only today the media announce it. He will be playing in New Zealand Open. I think he is representing KL racket Club.. same club as Sairul, Ismail and other Ex-Nationals.

WS: Wong Mew Choo vs Julia Wong
MS: Kuan Beng Hong vs Yeoh Kay Bin
MD: Chan Chong Ming/Koo Kien Keat vs Ong Soon Hock/Tan Bin Shen
XD: Gan Teik Chai/Fong Chew Yen vs Mohd Zakry/Ooi Sock Ai
I am glad to say that Malaysia now have 4 capable MD pairs.....Rexy is a very happy man....Fairuz/Lin Vui Foon had a off day losing to Ong/Tan. CCM/KKK played some great defense to beat GTC/Zakry......as usual KKK is so quick in the net....most improved pair definitely GTC/Zakry......glad to see Ong/Tan playing together since Ong's long layoff due to injury......
Also gd to see Wong Miew Kheng back in action for the ladies singles after such a lon time injured....she really is wonderul player but i think she is still worried abt getting injured again.....gave julia a run for her money.....
What can you say abt Lydia Cheah.....lost in 3 to WMC.....if only she can be toughen up......would be a class act.....WMC was struggling against her jump smashes.....

I wonder if KL Racket Club is doing Malaysian badminton any favors. ......looks like datuk kham the owner is adopting all the ex players but is it helping the future of badminton in malaysia......i just feel that players might not work hard enough coz they wiil feel that they have something to fall back on if they don't do well in BAM.....:(

that's great,how's TBS and OSH playing?:p
They won last year Pahang Open too...and it's really exciting to watch them play..

Well i don't think they will quit if BAM offer them something else better.
Not favouring anyone.. but i think even KLRC is not there.. the players will most likely go into coaching or take care of a club. Some of them even have offers to work as coach in overseas too.
But i don't think its wise as well just to quit BAM just for the sake of better offers.
Anyway i think LTS has been considering quitting for a long time since he feels like he is heading no where with BAM. His performance is really below par.

i did go for the tournament yesterday, it was a big disappointment for me when our malaysia top men double lost:crying: ...........
CCM/KKK straggling for the match but TBS/OSH seems like to be aimed at KKK
since the mid of game 1, then game 2, they fully aimed on KKK and play many
smash on him but sometimes KKK failed to defend it... many time make KKK
falling (i felt very 'heart pain' on this) ...
but KKK not weak at all mah~! dunno why he failed to do so (maybe he too rush to win) but i noticed that CCM is really the one with experience and he play the role to calm KKK and his technique very ''geng'' and powerful de....
after the game, CCM is an optimistic person and smile after the lost and seems KKK still mind on it and silent all the time with a heavy face...
i hope they will ok after the game and win on next tournament,
they are my most favourite men's double, so gambateh CCM/KKK!!!!!!
p/s: i did record their match and will post it soonest.........

Errr...Tan Bin Shen/Ong Soon Hock is not really a new pair. They have been out there for the past 3-4 years. However, one of them was injured for quite some time last year, which resulted in a plummeting of their world ranking. I used to think that they are the no 3 pair behind CCM/KKK and CTF/LWW. However, once again, yesterday's matches showed how INCONSISTENT CCM/KKK is (esp the younger KKK)!
KBH at last won a tournament. Of course LCW is not there. KKK and CCM had been very inconsistent. But i'm sure they will up their tempo when WC approaches.
