It's official !!! france was chosen to hold a 6 stars event !!
The match was btw france and germany, and france woon !! so after korea, japan, denmark, indonesia, china (x2) ... now FRRAANNCE !!! :D :D :D

6* grade bdm tourney??WOW,it's great because so far only DEN and ENG as host for big GP's bdm tournaments.Which city it will be held?Paris,Marseille,Toulouse,Nice?Super series in bdm maybe equal term with 4 Grand Slam in tennis (AUS-FRA-Wimbledon-US Open).Anyway,Congratulations for France and hopefully 'Les Bleus' can say Arrivederci to Italian team on next 09/07/06 and get the trophy for 2nd times after 8 years!!

moi je dis kon a kan meme de la chance parce ke malgré notre niveau en bad a part pi on est assez faible mais on va pouvoir se régaler!!!! A quand le volant d'or en 6* c un peu plus proche de chez moi sorry but all people will not able to understand it's very well for france because we don't have good player (except Pi ) but i hope this sport will be more practice because it's a very good sport

Spread the word to your friends in France! Make sure the event is a success. Start spreading the word today! The more people attend the better it is for badminton. Europe is a key demographic in promoting badminton.

I know that there is so much time left to that tournament, but I can book a ticket now for a flight for a very good price.

Therefore I am wondering if there are any news that this exciting tournament is cancelled or moved somewhere out of Paris?

Don't worry dzgdz there is any chances (well i can't really say that .. everything can happen .. ) for this tournament to be cancelled or moved out of Paris. The event will be held in the Pierre de Coubertin Gymnasium for the first year and then it will be held in the Paris Bercy Omnisport (the biggest hall in Paris). =p

I think you'll be able to buy it maybe in august or september .. even later lol
I think you'll be able to buy ticket in virgin, fnac, carrefour etc but i'm not really sure .. :rolleyes:

I bet the week during FO, a lot of people with long black/brown YONEX jackets will be seen near Champs Elysée, Eiffel Tower, Sacre Coeur, Louvre etc etc etc... Maybe even Disneyland? Is it open??? LOL. Take pic with Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck *ha.

French Open is right after Dutch and Denmark Open!!! I bet top players will go to Denmark Open and then French Open since both are superseries.. Players with lower rankings will attend in Dutch Open and then try their luck to qualify in Denmark Open..

Wow.. this year's DO and FO are gonna be great!!! ALLEZ LES BLEUS!!! :D

By looking at the 'ticket order form' it seems that
payment by cheque is required. Now I'm wondering
if my Canadian cheques will be accepted ? I bet not :)
Any ideas how to proceed ? Credit cards anybody ?

Yes, if you understand french, some concrete information ;)

No you don't need to worry ! :p
You will even be able to buy tickets just before the matches begin !:D
Actually the deadline said by bradja is just for the packages.
But, the french federation is taking a lot of time releasing the French Open website : www.superseries.fr.
You can pay by check if you want to get them now.

Here are the prices you asked :

Tuesday : 5€
Wednesday : 15€
Thursday : 15€
Friday : 18€
Saturday : 30€ 25€ 20€
Sunday : 30€ 25€ 20€

Hope it will help you ! Don't hesitate to ask for more informations !

Hello Everybody !

I Just read on our federation website that there is few tickets left for the best category during the semi final and final ( the A category ) ( I never imagined it could be sold that quickly .. =/)
But you have still chances to buy the weekly ticket .. BUT the deadline is the 30 of september.
The federation wrote that you will all be able to buy tickets online ( www.superseries.fr) but they're taking a lot of time to release the website ... And i really don't know why.

HERE ARE THE PACKAGES PRICES :

WEEKLY TICKET : 75€
3 DAYS TICKETS : 65€
WEEK END TICKET ( B ) : 42€
WEEK END TICKET ( B ) : 51€

If anybody here need more informations, or have problems reading and filling out documents please send an email to this adress : superseries@ffba.org .

I'm definitely going to the French open after the Denmark open and I have the same problem. I have the web page translated by Alta Vista but there's nothing in the website about ticket purchase except that it has extended the purchase of "package tickets" (supposedly season tickets) to 30 September.

I think the website is still being updated. Hopefully, tickets will be available online so we can get it early. According to the last message of Syaoran Style, tickets may be bought at the venue.

I'm all set for the event including hotel reservation. My only problem now is the ticket. See you there.:)

I'm booked at Murat Hotel. I believe it is within walking distance from the Stade Pierre de Coubertin. I just don't remember the rate. I will check my reservation.

I don't think tickets are available online. I requested MING PARIS to buy me the ticket. I believe the season ticket costs 75 Euros.
