In the American public's eyes, badminton takes a backseat to

Baseball
American Football
Hockey
Basketball

These sports are often what American children play growing up and take precedence in interest when it comes to the sports stations. As you can see, these sports are all ones that are run and televised within the US... I would believe many Americans dont pay much attention to the international sport scene unless it involves their own players (ie Olympics), especially when there are so many sports to watch with homegrown players.


So,we should give them more chances.:)

The Europe team had more will to win compared to Asian and they are smart, scoring the points when matter...first day is only 1 point and they lost 3-0, 2nd day in 2 points for each win and they win 2-1 and last day the point is 3 for each win and they won 2-1.
The turnaround for Europe come from the ladies single. an exhausted Yao found the second wind in the rubber

It was a good tournament. An upset for Asia but it's good to see tight competition between both groups. Yes, it was extra special to see Li Yong Bo give advice to Taufik through Choong Tan Fook. On the third day, Taufik was cheering and goofing around with Tan Fook when Zhang Ning won the 2nd set against Yao Jie.

Next year's MVP Cup should be a lot better for sure. =)

Well done to the European team. They are the better team this time. I am looking forward to downloading the matches and watch them. Hopefully, someone will upload them soon. :) You guys shouldn't bad mouth the winner, Kenneth Jonassen. IMO, he is a very unique player. Someone who does not own any powerful shots or speed or skill. All he has is the 'never say die' attitude and he will run down every shot from his opponent. I can't recall having seen another player of this type who managed to climb as high in the World Ranking. As for his look, you might want to look at yourself in the mirror and ask this, 'can I be a supermodel?'. The rest speaks for itself. :D
