Yes, tomorrow all the fans of LCW will be able to say their hero can win outside of Malaysia. He will no longer be Jaguh Kampong (Village Champ). He will win and it will be straight sets - why do you think I am so positive ? Well, LCW is peaking at the right time (gearing up for the World Championship) but LD has been 'up' for too long (he needs to take a 'spell').

LD's fans will be shocked --- they would be wondering about their hero. Lots of comments and questions will flow when he loses. This is the price to pay for playing too many tournaments. The game is up LD ! Take a rest.:D But for you LCW, you will take a bow !:)

In MO 2006, LCW had a tough 3-game semi with LHI before his final with LD whereas LD only had a sparring semi with CJ.( LD is lucky that he now has CJ to take care of his rivals before they meet him. Nerves play a lot in his unforced errors espcially playing against a dominant player like LD. But, I know from my own experience, that if you get to play against someone long enough, you will soon learn to deal with that person better. In the last few months, LCW had played LD 3 times (TC, MO and TO) and I think he is beginning to know LD's game.

LCW can match LD in speed, skills (yes, this is very much levelled), and motivation (in terms of wanting to be champ). LCW has got one extra thing that I think will win over LD --- he is 'foxy' smart (ability to outsmart opponents with his moves). Now that he has got his act together (confidence and fitness), his foxy smartness will give him the edge (I am not saying LD is not foxy smart --- it is just that LCW is more foxy).

Most people would have commented here LCW has got the moves. With his confidence sky high coming from his straights-set wins over the two top notch Chinese players (BCL and CH), his foxy moves will even out LD today.

Taufik was a great player. I am not sure whether we had sung his last hurrah in the IO. He has not been able to 'rise' up again since then.

From now on, TH is not likely to figure in any winning talk until he wins another tournament. Sad but you are only as good as your last tournament.

I heard XXZ switched to MD.:D It is not easy to represent China if a player could not perform good results in international tournaments. The next Chinese national MS Player to be axed from national team likely to be Chen Yu. Chen Hong could be the next too, luckily he managed to beat Sairul Amar Ayob.:D

You made me sound like a super Lee Chong Wei fan, which I never was. I was just answering Cao Ci Dan's question on "why is everyone hoping Lin Dan to lose ya?" Everyone knows that Lin Dan is one of the best around and he truly deserves all the champion titles. What I mean is, the fans will always want to see new bloods coming out, a new champion, someone else winning. Im sure many will agree with me that the previous total dominance by Michael Schumacher is somewhat boring compared to now where we can see intense competition between him and Fernando Alonso.

The slight advantage of Chinese MS players over others, they have four to five MS players playing in a tournament that is able to trouble players like Lee Hyun Il. Sometimes, start from round last sixteen until final, you have to play against a chinese players before you could won the title.

It was an interesting match and I think I had to admit Lin Dan is more steady and comfortable, and his net play was very good today....again LCW had to control that type of lapse of concentration where he will lose few points in a row.....against LD is suicidal

I agree with you Ants, you can compare the score between CTO and Macau Open now. Some people say LCW ran out of gas in CTO finals 3rds rubber set but looking at the 3 tight scores in Macau Open, definitely that he has improved and I bet LCW prepared hard for this too. I hope he keeps the motivaltion for improvement, and i believe that he will be at the top spot. Yes, keeping the position of No. 1 is difficult but i would not say to have that as a pressure on the shoulders. TH is not even in top spot, but people do enjoy seeing him trashing others :p when he's in the mood:cool:. LCW, keep up with the good work, you have all the qualities to be better than the best ;)

LCW has improved on his smashes although its still not as powerful as LD i admit.... but LCW do produce great deceptive cross-court smashes......

I think LCW needs to improve his stamina. Not that his current stamina is bad, but in comparison to Lin Dan, he looked worse.

Don't remember which set. Maybe first. LD's back was facing the camera, serving low from left box. LCW feigned and dropped the shuttle to the left, totally wrong-footing LD. LD also uncharacteristically lost a few points by serving the shuttle out. Maybe he should practise more serving.
