since (ns9000) it's been out for a while, anyone have broken theirs yet? How durable is it compare to ns8000?

View Full Version : ns9000 durability? yoyomonkey 08-10-2006, 03:23 PM since (ns9000) it's been out for a while, anyone have broken theirs yet? How durable is it compare to ns8000? jump17 08-10-2006, 11:49 PM during the past davis open, my friends played doubles. one used a nano9000x and one used a at800off, when their rackets clashed, the at800 broke. like really broke. the side of the head was split in two. while the nanospeed was barely scratched. Dreamzz 08-11-2006, 03:16 AM friend of mine had his ns9k X snapped in half after a clash about 2 months ago. everyone else in my club are now staying away from it for a while! :D lmk727 08-14-2006, 12:49 AM When i was playing double, my ns 9000 crashed with my partner's MP 88. While there was nothing wrong with the MP 88, some of the paints of my ns 9000 wore away and i can even see the "black carbon" interior of the frame now since i always worry if it will break sooner or later chessymonkey 08-14-2006, 07:34 PM We seems to adopt measuring Durability with how many clashes it can withstand.. That is hardly a good indicator for durability , depends on the angle, point of impact, speed of either racket.. there r simply too many virables that would completely change the outcome one way or the other. Unfortunately there isn't really another realistic way besides stories bout how a racket survied clashes.. i'd say forget about it all together and play the game worry free Known facts as of now: Steel > Carbon but do u really want a steel racket? Oh rite we do know another fact, Dink > All material yoyomonkey 08-14-2006, 08:30 PM i want to make sure cause i had a ns7000 when it first came out and broke while playing singles, 2 weeks after i got it. I think i framed with the birde. This ns9k will be used for singles only. I know that they fixed the problem with ns8000. I'm going to get a couple any way. thanks Birdiegut 08-14-2006, 08:37 PM Hi Yoyomonkey, If u are talking abt durability.......I think one of the good one is Yonex Ti10, the old scheme. Clashed a couple of times but still in one pc. My NS9K is still intact n ok. But suffered a few chips and paints off. Any racket cannot sustain a heavy impact with any hard object or serious clash.;) Depend on yr luck lah.:p :p Lee:D i want to make sure cause i had a ns7000 when it first came out and broke while playing singles, 2 weeks after i got it.
