Pardon me if this question was posted before. An old experince told me it is excellent if you can get a racket to fit your play 100%. But he says sometimes due to some reasons like economical situation, unavailability of models in certain area where you are resulting in getting a different model or something to the nearest to your dream racket. So he told me you have to adjust yourself to adapt yourself to the racket you have purchase. He also say sometimes may also bring out a different playing style in you which may sometimes create a better plyer then you are before. Like for eg. we all really like to watch player doing jumping smash. So awesome, so we tend to follow as we had been always a power player. But we are not a great smasher which may resulted that we feeling disappointed with ourselves. So if we happen to buy a racket that is not did really our dream racket which result that we need to change our style of playing from power play to stroke play we may find that we can be playing better then before. Is it logic::eek:

i think it is good to try out different rackets to test. don't let one kind of racket limit your style. most players like to smash, as power play is exciting. i find many beginners overlook defense and drop shots in their game. many of them thinks that smashing is only way to win, and so they go out and buy these head heavy, stiffy, offensive rackets. the result may not be very good. i always like to use mid balanced point, slightly balanced rackets. i have 3 rackets in which they are all even balanced, but weighted from light, medium, and heavy. changing the different rackets will let you explorer your game. since my injury, i cannot smash as frequently as i used to. surprisingly, this forces me to select a vareity of shots, making my style more versatile and unpredictable instead of an all-out-attack player. choosing different rackets may inspire you in a similar way too. if u r already a powerful smasher, my recommendation is that you DON"T need an offensive racket.

after u have finally selected your racket, u may need weeks or even months to get used to it. so u need to be patient.

Makes sense. I used to play with a heavy headed Widebody30 for many years but always struggled with net shots and defence. After years of absence and now I am using a pair of cheapo Cab8200/8600LT and have found myself able to do better net shots and much quicker defence suddenly. But I am not a smash lover though, just trying to enjoy the game.
