Could anyone verify what is the frame of the AT500 made of?
The yonex international website stated it as high modulus graphite wheareas the australian and thailand websites stated it as graphite. Even the 2006 catalog stated it as graphite.
It makes me wonder how come the at500 is so much better than the at300 while the difference is just gforce ti and special alloy.

Should be Ultra H. M. Graphite + gForce Ti.

Hmm... That's interesting. I wonder if you have any sources to justify the claim. How bout the rest of the forumners. Do you people know something bout this or not?

Thanks for this reassurance. Now I'm more confident with my at500 (psychologically).:)

On the actual racket's shaft, it says "Ultra light Weight/Head Heavy Balance/High Modulus Graphite/Made In Japan"

that just say what the shaft is made of, not the frame
many of the time shaft and frame are made of different materials, where the information is not printed on the racket

From Yonex Japan website.

I visited the site and used google to translate as follows:
Material: Super high elastic carbon frame + solid titanium
High elastic carbon shaft
Built-in T type joint
The "Super high elastic carbon frame" must mean "ultra high modulus graphite". This conforms with what hydrocyanic mentioned above.
Common sense must dictate that the frame must not be just plain graphite because at500 can be considered as a high end yonex racquet.
I need this assurance because I have a tough time deciding which is my main racquet, at500 or at800of. Thanks for all the help:)

Uti for advanced players. I'm just an intermediate player. But I train my arm and stomach any other days I'm not playing badminton. Hopefully one day I'm able to tame the uti:)

You need to get at700 if you want H.M. Graphite + UltimumTi shaft. :D

don't worry too much about the composition of the racquet.
none of us will notice much of a difference anyway.
at least, certainly, i can't.
i'll be able to notice a little difference in feel, and the way the frame vibrates, of course. but beyond that, nothing....

That's right. But for me I like racquets that have h.m graphite in the shaft and frame because from past experiences racquets having such compositions are the ones really compatible with me. D cab21 for instance! MP66 to name another.
Anyways most of it has got to be on the psychological side. And psychology is important because badminton requires as much mental strenght as well as physical strenght, dunnit?
