if you're looking for a "young (and quick)" 25 year old runner for a partner then i'd be honored. :D All I've heard from the BC'ers from VRC and Collingwood is that you have quite a boom boom for a smash.
Pete LSD? Cappy75? You guys gonna participate in this?
I hope there is a singles draw...

I met you briefly at a tourney in New West a few years ago.
Hey, I'm good to go if you are. The first BFer team has thrown down the guantlet.
Anyone for 35+?

I were officially 35 as of September 8th. "+" part of 35 doesn't kick in until next year. (My knees are around 52, but, hey, they still work.)
This could be dicey. Playing open singles, open doubles, looks like I have a partner for 35 doubles and if they'll let me, I'll play 35+ singles too.
Young at heart, maybe. Stupid of mind more likely. :D

Not to derail the thread, but getting my orthotics have helped.
I'm hoping to scare a couple locals who don't know me. Been playing-training a couple times a week and the boomstick is really starting to work well.
I should be getting a new weapon soon too. Have a Proace Ti-11 on route.

is it sanctioned by badmintonbc?
This is not a BBC sanctioned tournament. As I've mentioned earlier, this is a ClearTwo tournament with ages U11, U13, U15, U17, U19, U23, Open and 30+
This give you a chance NOT to play against some players which you usually play against in the BBC sanctioned tournaments:D :D :D . If you just turned 16, you do not have to play U19 for we have U17;) ;) .....Watch out for entry form to be post here first and then www.clearonebadminton.com (http://www.clearonebadminton.com) and www.lmba.ca (http://www.lmba.ca) real soon!!  :p ;)

However, that doesn't mean they can't drop-in and 'clean house':D. There were cases of top ranking players in the provincials going into local "B" level and fun tournies for 'fun'. Whether that promotes more players to enter into competitions is subject to debate;).

Sorry! Past experience with players allowed to play 2 of same event in different age group was matches were being delay unnecessary. It was really bad in the quarters and semi. Let say multi players played in U14/16; U16/U19; U19/Open...are in the quarter or semi. Can you imagine the delay would be?

I sure hope I improved since 2 years ago!!! :D I'm sure you have improved greatly wing-omega5-0!! I'm just lucky that I have a skilled and experienced partner that is willing to play with me. All the pressure will be on me to keep up with Vining and set him up for his boomstick.
Now it's a matter of ramping up for that tourney and getting some playing time with Vining when we both arrive in Vancouver. I think a visit to the VRC gang (Pete!!!!!) pre and post tournament is definately in order.
ViningWolff

Yeah, I was hoping to hit at VRC, Richmond Pro and to try out Yumo and C2 at least once.
I've been working on my front game too. Give Howie some chances to dole out some punishment.
I see that they only give out one shuttle per match, so I'll make sure to pack my "coast" shuttles and maybe pick up another tube while I'm there from Tad's.

Question: If my birthday is Dec 25, and i am currently sixteen and turning 17, do i put U17 or U19??
If you turn 17 on Christmas day Dec 25. That means on Dec 29, you are already 17 years old and you are no longer UNDER the age of 17. That means you cannot play U17 and must play U19.

Its almost a week after the deadline. Indications are that there will be close to 350:eek:   athletes in this tournament. For all parents and guardians not going to the tournament, please download the waiver form from this site or C2 site, sign them and have your favourite athletes bring them to the draw desk at C2 during registration.
Will keep you all updatged about the tournament as much as we can!!:o

Why are there so many "BYE" 's? Does that mean those people are either disqualified or can't make it?
Also, bad news. I broke the strings on my racquet today!!! :( :( :(
i contacted cleartwo to see how fast their service is. It could take up to 3 days...anybody have more information on their service and how much they charge? I have a spare racquet but i really wanna use my current one in the tourney. Oh well, i called them and they say the stringer will call me back later...

i think that was the biggest tourny that i've ever played in :D. alotta fun and big competition on fri and sat. unfortunately i couldnt stay to watch the OPEN games cuz of how late it was and my parents wanted me home early.
by the way...to C1/C2 badminton centre, i lost a racket during the course of the tournament and maybe left it at the centre. if theres anyone on these forums that work at C2 maybe you could let me know if anyone picked it up? its a white/black/grey ProKennex Titanium Pro 747. got alot of scratches on its frame, and a rly chipped up shaft near the cone because its a flex racket(that appraently bent too far back). its not any good so iuno who would want to take it if they found it but it IS my favorite racket :p. if anyone knows anything can u let me know? thanks alot.

Can we help a friend pick up a draw if they ask us to if they live in West Van and don't want to waste the gas coming to Richmond to pick up the prize?

if you're from MR...why don't you string in Vancouver instead of going all the way to richmond to do it...both are so far from MR...i suggest try to string it yourself...fishing line works well...but if not...theres always tads or abbies in vancouver...
LOL im sorry, just LOL
