Hellom

I am wondering if anyone has/or played with the Carlton AS-1? How does it compare to the AB900, 1000 or 2000? There doesn't seem to much said about this racquet.

Thank you

My friend will get one for me when he is in HK next week. Will tell you when I have it the end of next month.

This is the best carlton i have used aprt from the old Aerogear series of rackets.

It cuts air like how a knife would slice through butter.

I would not compare it with Ti 10 or something like that but the best racket in the market when comes to oval shape heads.

It has the best balance of carlton rackets. And it is very cheap!

So i guess a great buy.

Yogesh,

to which aerogear would you compare the AS-1 compare to? I used to have an aerogear 700....loved the thing dearly until it broke.

I'm not a Carlton friends, but I've used AS-1, AB900 and AB1000 before. I found that AS-1 is a relatively stiff racquet with heavy head design (but not as significant as AB900). Unlike AB900, its frame is slim so that its air resistance should be probably lower.

Depending on your play style, I personally found that AB900 is best for smashing, AB1000 is good for defense (due to its light weight and head light design), and AS-1 is an all-round offensive racquet.

Lawrence,
I have an Aerogear 700 FX which iam using. Man is one heck of a racket.Way better than all the other Aerogear series of rackets. Even the 2000Tfx which is very highly underrated.

I hate the triple taper system in the 800 and the 900.

But i think AS 1is stiffer and has better manouverability than 700FX.

U get the 700Fx In india. Obviously the old stock.

It costs abt Abt 48USd withought guts.Bg 65 Would cost an further 3USd with Stringing.

Mail me in case u are interested.

Either way i was planning to sell my Aerogear 700FX.
Handle? If then u can repair it very easily. Carltons were supposed to have Handle problems.

haha, I wish it was the handle.....but it's actually the frame. I strung the racquet at 21 pounds, went for an overhead clear one day.....first shot during warm up.....the frame shattered at the 3 o'clock position, now the lower half is split into the top half.....

Is there any difference between the AG700 and the AF700 FX?
