View Full Version : muscle power gromits
6oclock 08-30-2006, 01:09 PM hello.
was just wondering is it possable to put the muscle power gromits into an armortec racket and where would i find the gromits without buying a muscle power racket.
has anyone done this with any racket? does is have much affect? lol
yoyomonkey 08-30-2006, 03:41 PM no, the holes on armortec are too small.
cooler 08-30-2006, 03:43 PM no, the holes on armortec are too small.spacings are likely different too
6oclock 08-30-2006, 04:06 PM hmmmm...do you know if they would fit into any other rackets besides? because i read of someone doing it on bc at some point recently n i was wondering if it was possable to make this modification to many rackets besides just mps...ats wuld be stupidly powerful with mp gromits lol...i would get a nanospeed but i want to have the solid feel of the at series...=(
pedro22 08-30-2006, 04:06 PM Another Q about MP grommets - the bottom part of my MP88 frame near the shaft has these grommets with copper strips. What are they called and what do they do? Can they be installed on an MP44?
TIA

nanospeeds have solid feel core, i think it helps a bit, anyone know if you can fit those grommets on a ns8k? also, theres no difference between the grommets on the mp 66 and the mp 99 right? just one is gold and one is copper?
6oclock 08-31-2006, 12:18 PM i was kinda hoping for a possability to get the feel of the armortec without the cost of nanospeeds coz im kinda budget limited being 15 and not having job atm lol...i have 1 (soon 2) kwl rackets tho so im ok lol...was just interested coz i thought itd b fun to mod lol...
__Lam 08-31-2006, 01:03 PM ahhhh, nanospeed + mp99 grommets would be so bad ass :D .
6oclock 08-31-2006, 02:47 PM nanospeed has muscle power gromits i beleive...not on armortec tho for some reason...kinda silly

i'm talking about the ones on the side of the mp99 that have bits of gold stickers on them, the ones that are a long strip... lemme see if i can find a pic..

rexlu 08-31-2006, 09:38 PM yonex is trying to make more mone by putting all of their higher technologies in different series, so if u want Power Armor and MP frame, u have to buy 2 rackets instead of one. they have all the ability to put all their technologies into one racket, but they held back.
Viper2005 08-31-2006, 10:56 PM Has anyone seen the new Kason TSF 300? It has a grommet strip on the top 1/2 of the racket. Similiar to tennis rackets. Allows higher tension and also protects the string from scratching the floor when picking up birds. Can't wait to get my hands on a TSF 300. It comes in two colors, red and blue (Attack and Defense).

of course they have, otherwise everyone will just buy the ArmorNanoMusclePower 10000 and the rest of the racquets will still be sitting on the shelves ... :D
besides, i think some people prefer the technologies to be separate ... i know i do!

have you tried them?
how do you feel?
XtC-604 12-21-2006, 08:03 PM for sure, i really don't want to combine all the technologies, a few together would be nice, eg AT700 wtih mp grommets but seriously at700 with nano carbon! instead of the mighty ULTIMUM Ti!????
drifterXL 01-20-2007, 11:01 PM sry for bringing up old thread, didnt want to make a new one for no reason. i have a quick question. referencing from this picture of a MP77,

ive noticed, compared to my MP99, how come the musclepower strip is a lot more "aggressive"? as in a rounder and more prominent shape. i have also seen this on other models like the MP88. its just you would think yonex would do the same thing on their higher end mp rackets. just curious, thats all.
Viper2005 01-21-2007, 12:06 AM You can read my review in the other thread.
