Oh, BTW, re the comment i've highlighted in bold, i know that's "in your eyes", but I think it's more reasonable to say if Taufik wins again, his achievements is arguably the "greatest" for the *current generation* of players..Cos different times and eras, different types of players..Each one has its own "greatness"..;)




This ''greatest player of all time'' thingy is kinda biased and even though we have endless discussion on it nothing can be proved.

Also because every player know that he can be the best. Lots of professional player admires Taufik skills.

I think it's pretty hard for LCW alone to make it to finals, (I would say ~50% against CJ / ~80% against LHI), but odds of Hashim beating Lin Dan n PG/TH/CH is almost nil.

Chen Hong was the best before (in the year 2001,2002,2003), he is still really good now. Unfortunately, only me voted him twice here. It's kind of pitty that no body else voted for him, even though he beat both Gade and Taufik.

Yeah, couldnt believe that he got such an easy draw... Even though he won the WC, he must feel quite empty somewhere else because he didnt meet anyone of them. He deserves it of course, but in a way we didnt expect

i think KJ pull out due to injury had distorted the draw.

However, it doesnt mattter.
if lcw, taufik or pg can't get pass the old guard of chen hong, having them playing LD will have predictable results.

LD beat lcw in HKO, the chance of a tired lcw beating LD in 06 WC would be even slimmer.

everyone agree taufik is a smart player. Taufik knows he can't beat LD, that's why he bailed out in HKO. You have to accept the fact that taufkik vs LD match in 06 WC would be one sided, what's there to miss out except more humble pie for taufik? If taufik feel confidently about beating LD, he wouldn't had bailed out so early, after just 1 bad line call. I would even forgive him if he played through that game and bailed after 3 bad line calls but not 1.

i rather see a LD vs chen jin, kenneth J or hafiz in the final.
