Thanks for the great pictures Red!! .... LD looks like a shaolin kung fu ninja master with that red hat! and he uses his racquet to kill his enemies .... and why is LCW always wearing a watch when playing? i'm not sure but he is the only professional player i've seen wearing a watch while playing badminton. might be sponsored by rolex though???

I think He is a pop-singer just like Mrs Sally, i heard it through the commentary when i was watching it.

that other person is not a 'singer'. he's the owner (?) of one of the sponsers of the tournament. it was just pure embarrassment. probably a last minute fill in when ZN confirmed her absence in the WS

the commercials have him starring and singing - sad

u are halfly right. he is indeed a singer and he had spent his money to make his own records. by the way, his name is stephen ngan.

Sally is famous singer & actress in HK and alot of Chinese & Chinese Overseas Poeple know her.

I was actually only there on finals day so i wasn't there during that match, But during the match between lin dan and lee chong wei, chong wei complained a few times about the line judging along with lin dan...so there was some tension. However what i though was kool was that after the match, lee chong wei went up to the line judge he was complaining about to say sorry and even patted his back as a sign off "no hard feelings". Definitely someone with very good sportsmanship.

A few of the players actually did remember me suprisingly, i was haning outside and chen hong kinda approached me and we started talking, he remembered me from last year and he knows me as the LO who walked around with the mickey mouse gloves *side note*: In anaheim i stole my friends mickety mouse gloves and was working with them, so i got alot of laughs from the players). Chong wei definitely remembered me and we were both happy to see eachother again, he gave me his contact info so maybe someday i will bother him with a call. ^_^ lol

Anyways the experience was again great and exciting!

I was using the Canon EF70-200mm F2.8L IS USM. I must confessed that I enjoyed the games so much and I didn't really take many pictures. The seat that I had also gave me limited angle to take those pictures since it was behind all those big TV cameras.

winston, sir, thanks for the info...wow, considering your seat location and the camera lens you're using, i must admit, you really did a very good job. Even from that far off the distance, from looking at all your pics, they are "super" sharp, action or non-action ones. Too bad the lighting wasn't as desirable as you wanted...Good job, again!..;):)
On that note, maybe for next yr's HK Open, you can join the BC Photography Fraternity in HK with Cheung and red00ecstrat..a triple-team task would be wonderful..:)
