elwin81, if you can, try to get a Press or Media pass. That way, you'll get access to their media room and you'll have broadband access(just like what kwun did last yr)..hehe;) :)

don't you actually have to part of the press to get that kinda access?

there is a very strict requirement to get press passes. i only scraped through with a lot of begging.

It really depends on what camera you are using. Not easy to get press pass either.

ok guys, I don't think there is a possibilty for me to get a press pass as I am not using a Pro camera.

elwin, for the WC. there is pretty much 0% chance of you getting a pass regardless of what camera you have. the requirements is very strict and you pretty much need to be a working journalist to obtain one. furthermore, the deadline has passed anyway. you might just forget about it and enjoy the matches. however, if you can borrow a nicer camera, that should allow you to take better picture from the stand, which can be nice.

However, you might have to do a post-productions after you take the pics(ie. reduce the size of pics etc.) before you upload them; which means, you have to bring your own laptop.... ;) :p

They might actually be too busy with their assignments. I think it's a tough call. Those guys have commercial. You might get some kudos if you're from BC/BF but just as equally be a bit *cool* as well. Especially so if you're the first time meeting them.

If you notice them, ask them to contaq Mr. Raphael Sachetat or one of his assistant and ask if you can possibly go to the media room and upload some pics for a few minutes(tell them you're from BC/BF and he should know Kwun)...I wouldn't be surprise if most of the tables in the media room won't be full(just like last yr, a lot of empty chairs)..:p

My guess is the only reliable source(s) of pictures for now will be from the xinhua or chinese-based newspapers. Gettyimages website doesn't have any pics either..:p
So, we're only relying on anyone actually going there and watching to take some pics for us...
**hmm, if you look for some guys disguising themselves in uniforms as LO(Liaison Officers) and ask them to help you identifying Mr. Sachetat...I think that's the best way you can get online if you're at the stadium...BTW, did you bring any laptop??..

:) ..hehe, no tricks(or treats) here...actually when i started this thread, we didn't have any pics of the WC yet *at all* unlike last yr...It went on for nearly 2 days when finally yannie saved our day with the first pics of the WC...:p ;) even then, there was a dearth of pics coming in, esp. from fans; the only ones we've got were from the medias...:P..
that's why elwin81 is our "hope" for these pics...hope he has them ready..:rolleyes: ;) :) :D :cool:
