WCSN also just participated on the google advertising program you see on BC. i think that will be a good way for them to reach more badminton audience online.
a bit more info i got directly from WCSN:
We will be showing highlights of the World Championships through cable in the USA, at dates to be determined in November. This will appear on WCSN's weekly television series, World Championship Sports, on Altitude Sports and Entertainment, Comcast SportsNet Chicago, Comcast Local in Detroit, Comcast SportsNet West, Comcast/Charter Sports SouthEast, Comcast SportsNet Mid Atlantic, CN8, CNW14 and SportsNet New York.
We are however launching our own Television channel this fall, which will show live events, highlights, sports shows, etc.

Well if your connection is really at 512k then it is fast enough for tvants. You must let it load for a few minutes before it becomes stable. And remember to turn off all downloading software tools (BitComet, Emule, FlashGet, etc).
Netasia 09-21-2006, 10:57 AM forget about CCTV5, they are not showing today

ccskaki 09-21-2006, 11:05 AM They have a 3rd class soccer team, but they still pay so much attention to soccer.
They have a 1st 1st 1st class badminton team, but they take it for granted.
So foolish that they are obsessed about soccer. They just follow the trend.
Netasia 09-21-2006, 11:07 AM the chinese had made the same comments, am entertaining myself reading their post while waiting fot CCTV5. mike is extremely pissed...

..ok for those interested and missed the webcast, here's the link to d.l. TVAnts:
http://cache3.tvants.com/ (click on the button near the top, next to the numbers 2.38M)..
After installing and launching the program, wait for a few minutes for the program to load the channels...then select CCTV5 and voila...good luck and enjoy!-:)
BaddGolfer 09-21-2006, 06:00 PM can someone give a link, please?
I prefer the sopcast. Its much easier to setup and get it to work (atleast for someone who doesn't know Chinese).
download their software and you can just use the player thats built in.

For tomorrow (9/22), I see cctv5 has badminton for only 2 1/2 hrs (they are showing the Ryder Cup after that). Their home page has it from 23:30 to 02:00. Is 23:30pm in China, 9:30am or 8:30am PDT? Today their broadcast started at 9:30am PDT.

if it's 23:30pm CHN time, then you subtract 3 hrs or add 9 hrs which becomes 8:30am PST U.S. time...However, like last night/this morning, it could be delayed 1 hr. later...:p

Is that taking into account our Day Light Savings time? (its PDT right now, not PST).
