I've been using the cab-8 for quite a few years now ; just picked up my pals Carbonex 8000. I'm just wondering what's the difference between the two rackets. The Yonex site doesn't say much about it, so I'm asking the pros (you guys!)
Thanks

I bought a Cab 8000 ages ago but i decided to leave it and let it collect dust coz its a really lousy racket. I find it to have lots of vibration whenever i hit the shuttle. I find it to be lighter than the Cab 8 but less powerful.
I felt that the Cab 8000 wasnt a real improvement from the Cab 8 because the Cab 8 wasn't good enough coz it was too heavy but the Cab 8000 is not powerful enough...... So i just bought another racket.......

cab8 is a good racquet. Although it may be heavier than your average racquet, it is head heavy. Head heavy means that as long as you have a strong enough wrist and arm, you will be able to generate some fairly good power. The cab8000 is a full graphite racquet, but vibrates like crazy. Because of the vibration, it will be hard to get good feel out of it. As for power and control, I dont remember how it was(because it was a long time ago since i used one). But I doubt it would be good because vibration robs power....when the racquet vibrates, it means it twists around absorbing the power you produced.
Of course though, if you are searching for a new racquet, and dont have that much money....then the cab8000 isnt too bad. It is all subjective; as long as you can get used to it and it suits you, then it will be fine.

I used the Cab-8000, it is fine to me. It has very good feel and generates quite
alot of power. As for the crazy vibration, it is not true. you probably have a bad
shot at the shuttle or the way you grip on your racket.
