Theres alot of politics in this..... its wierd....... supposed to just be a country/region code but theres alot of contreversy to whether CN versions are more durable that SP and so on.....

CD is better then SP version. I've had both versions and CD is definitely more durable. Have to try CP(CN) version to finalize the durability. I've seen a few people use the CP version and seems to hold up better.

The CP and CN versions are the same. Only that the MP100 uses CP instead of CN

I don't know that much about these markings on the rackets because i live in Singapore and all the rackets here and in Malaysia are mostly all SP. Those that aren't SP aren't marked.

When I talked a to a Badminton rep who has connections to Yonex, he saids that the CN version if more durable becuase it can withstand higher string tentions than the other versions.

Actually they are all the same racquets. Yonex put these different markings on the racquets because they want to prevent smuggling of these racquets to different countries/continents.

As you all know there is quite a big gap of price difference between yonex racquets sold in SE Asia with that of North America. Having different price schemes for different region is very important in winning the market in each region.

Imagine if yonex racquets are sold in Indonesia at the same price as they were sold in US, then not many people can afford it.

On the other hand, if yonex racquets are sold in US at the same price as they were sold in Indonesia, then it will lose its value; in a sense that the racquet's price is so low that people won't appreciate the yonex brand and quality.
